Landshut, April 22, 2020

With its FANATEC brand, Endor AG has taken another important step in the booming eSports sector. FANATEC is an official partner of the WRC eSports activities. WRC is the World Rally Championship organized by the international automobile association FIA. It has a long tradition and is world famous. After the license agreements with Formula 1 and the Nascar, Endor is now also prominently represented in the Rally SimRacing with the longstanding WRC partnership.

“Rallying is one of the most intense and difficult motor sports. In close cooperation with WRC, FANATEC develops products that are perfectly suited for the realistic simulation of this exciting sport, ”says Thomas Jackermeier, CEO of Endor AG. In the course of the year, FANATEC will launch a complete WRC kit consisting of a steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake and pedals.

Oliver Ciesla, Managing Director of WRC Promoter GmbH, is also enthusiastic about the collaboration: “We are pleased to welcome FANATEC to the portfolio of the Premium Partners of the WRC Championships.
It is great to see the passion and commitment with which FANATEC develops tailor-made products for WRC-SimRacers. ”Ciesla is also confident that“ with its incredibly large support for virtual rallying, FANATEC will give the already increasing interest in eSport motorsport an additional boost. ”

So fanatec found another way to mark up the price of the CSL Elite P1 rim...

Good to know XD

Seriously though, looking forward to see what comes out of this partnership.

Wheel looks great, hopefully fanatec will post some FFB settings for csl elite wheel base soon as I'm struggling to find decent settings after many hours of trying today

Correction:
Even when the WRC steering wheel is used with ClubSport Quick Release Adapter the torque will be limited on Podium DD1/2 wheel bases.

are you sure? because the new QR has the same "button presser" (which tells the base which QR is being used) as the old one used on the McLaren steering wheel

I'm sure. There is no real button in the WRC which can be pressed and distinguish which QR is fitted.

WRC is available one day earlier, at least in Europe and in Downloads section you can download driver 374 which will make the WRC wheel compatible with your wheel bases.

Do you know if there would be any advantages in using the CSQR adapter over the new "twist" simplified adapter (which he calls SQR in the video I believe)?

With this particular WRC steering wheel, the only advantage I can think of is that the ClubSport QR it's still slightly faster to put on and remove off the shaft
