Fanatec clamp on TableMate II

I've been using a Driving Force Pro clamped to a TableMate II for years without any problems. I've been looking at the Fanatec Carrera wheel lately and my only concern is if it will properly attach to my TableMate II with the supplied clamps. I believe all of the new Fanatec wheels have the same type of clamps. If you look at the TableMate II, you'll see that it has a relatively thin plastic top with a lip that extends down in front. Will it work?

I kinda doubt it, looking at the design of the clamp I think you'll have to either shim it up, which will probably make it wobbly, or spring the extra for the Clubsport clamp, which is supposed to be much better... but on a lightweight table like that that's a bit of extra weight. Of course, you could always just drill a couple holes in the table and hard mount it with some bolts and washers...
