hi, does anyone know whether the Fanatec Club Sport Handbrake will be compatible with GT5?
can fanatec map the handbrake to say a button on GT5 controller profile, eg. to a Dual Shock 3 'o' button for the secondary controller?
since i think GT5 allows you to use a secondary controller along with the wheel. eg. if you have a G25 attached for controller 1, you can use the 'o' button on the dual shock as the handbrake.
since fanatec is already mapping their porsche wheels to g25 profile, they could map the handbrake to the buttons of a controller profile?

when is the release date for the CS handbrake? Does Thomas check this forum?

I haven't found a release date for the Clubsport handbrake, but you could ask that in Fanatec's own forum.

Thomas does reply here. Well, in the hardware forum anyway.

disappointed then, was hoping to get a handbrake for GT5, does anyone know of another company that will be making a handbrake which is GT5 compatible?

The handbrake have to be connected to the steering wheel, because you can need one USB port at the PS3 for your input device only! So handbrake and wheel have to work together!

The css handbrake will not be usb. If you remove the pcb of the csp you will see a port using a 4 point molex connector. This is labeled right on the board "handbrake".

Thomas has stated he is working on ps3 compatability.

I opted to modify my Fanatec standard sequencial shifter to work as a handbrake. You just need some soldering skills. There are videos all over youtube. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Heres the mod I was talking about.

Except where the Thrustmaster T500 Shifter is concerned. The shifter connects to the PS3 via USB, not the wheel.

Ok, but the T500 is a wheel, which is listed in the wheel option menue of GT5 and the Fanatec not. So, I think, it would be the option for Fanatec only, to connect the handbrake to the wheel.
