Roaming the internet and I found this one guy claiming that because Fanatec wheels isn't officially supported in GT5 the brake vibration won't work?! :boggled:
Is this true?
Are there other things that won't work?

Hey kasey did you get a gt3rs now how do you like the wheel? Have you had any issues..

No I have a GT2 on order. Should be here in a couple of weeks. I have brand new cs pedals and the shifters, that I just have to stare at until then. lol.

From what I hear, fanatec wheels are great. Especially now that the cs package is back. I would have ordered a GT3 rs V2 package, if I did not have the GT2 on order.

you can make the pedals vibrate when the pedal is pressed a certain % iirc. So i can set the pedal to vibrate when i press down 95% or something like that.

I have never felt my pedals vibrate. The little motor turns, but I have never felt anything at all on the brake pedal

Ah I see for a second there I thought you canceled the gt2 and switched. Good to see you are hanging in there still I am sure they fill your shipment very soon 👍

Yes, im still hangin in there........by a thin thread. :nervous:

What is your ABS setting on the wheel?

I've tried alot of different things. The little fan looking thing behind the pedal spins, but I never do feel the pedal vibrating. I think it might have been a malfunction with the pedals from the begining, but I really didn't want to have to wait a few months or so to get a new set. In all honesty I couldn't care less about my brake pedal vibrating. I unhook ABS in all of my real cars anyway, so I really don't care if my sim pedals vibrate or not.

If you have the vibration on the wheel then you cannot have it on the break. It is one or the other.

So what do you do, just turn vibration completely off on the wheel, and turn up the ABS? Why would they make it like that? The wheel vibration is FF, and the pedal vibration (I think) is just determined by how far you push in the brake pedal.

you meant gas pedal activates wheel vibration.
Either you choose wheel (engine) vibration on the wheel or ABS vibration on the pedals.
You cant have both obviously as it makes no sense (aka perma active ffb).

Like usually in these Threads its a setup fault ! Go check settings in GT5 AND the Wheel !

When exactly should they vibrate? When you step the brake hard? (In GT5)

At what ever setting you want them to. For example.

Throwing up the telemetry in forza 3 you realise all wheels lock at 85% pedal pressure.

You set your pedal to ABS 85 to give you a physical vibration of the point your wheels lock.

Then using the variable potentiometer, you set the pedal to however much foot pressure is required to reach that point.
Hard/soft it's up to you.

After a few laps muscle memory in your leg takes over and you are braking very deep and accurately into corners.

Lap times then tumble and you smile.

Very good system.
