My GT3 V1 to V2 upgrade Kit should arrive today (snow permitting).

So given the fact that I have the wheel in bit's should I simply put it together and sell the wheel (I have a GT2) or should I mod it and convert it into something special?

If so What should it look like?

Ahh yeah the darn snow again,we due some more here in liitle "NornIron" with high winds...

One thing I was curious about and when you have this stripped down is have a gander at the dual motors.

I believe they were like those often used in Tamiya and other RC cars. (Mabauchi RS540)
The question is, what if as an experiment you replaced those with more tuned ones but requiring the same power/voltage?

It might be possible to increase the FFB strength and something with more torque from a RC car type motor. Agree adapting a proper wheel would be cool too but damn hard to implement with so many buttons and needing the D-PAD for the "Wheel Menus"

I'll take a look and get some pictures of the motors for you.. interesting thoughts.. I wonder what the power limits are, if I remember correctly there were options with regards to windings as well on those motors and poles.. so it may not be as simple as swapping out the motors..

I'm leaning towards something along these lines.. putting the buttons from the wheel into a separate dashboard and keeping the wheel well ..

That might allow me to use my sli-pro ..

with the ability to switch between the buttons on the SLI Pro or the Fanatec..

What do you think?

Any Ideas from anyone on how to get the covering on the Wheel grips?
