Fanatec CSW 2.5 vs. Fanatec DD1/DD2 Game Compatibility

When the Fanatec DD1/DD2 is set to the CSW 2.5 mode, does that make it work properly with older games as if it was a CSW 2.5 or will there simply be older games that work properly in terms of force fredback on the CSW 2.5, but not on the DD1/DD2? Thanks in advance.
 
When the DD1/DD2 is set to V2.5 mode, the PC sees the device as a V2.5 wheel base, so there is no difference compared to using an actual V2.5 base in terms of compatibility.
