Fanatec Driver upgrades on PS3

Hi all,a newbie here and sorry if this is an obvious question, but i am setting up my Fanatec GT3 RS v2 for GT5 and am running standalone on PS3 - not yet internet enabled.

How do you upgrade the fanatec drivers on the PS3 without internet access or must you (can you) connect using a wireless router on your PS3?

Help appreciated.
 
The firmware is updated in the wheel(via PC) not the PS3. The wheel has native support for the PS3. Just plug in, turn on your PS3, Turn on the wheel, hold the button on the left side of the wheel base and the back/select button on the wheel until you get a little red light on the tuning screen. You will be in PS3 mode. For the firmware you need to connect the wheel to a PC and use the Update Tool. You can get the update Here. Follow the install instructions exactly. If you are on Win7 its easiest to drop the computer into diagnostic mode. At least it was for me. Something was conflicting with the update tool. If you havent already I would strongly suggest going to Fanatec.com/Support and downloading the manual for the wheel.
