Fanatec EU: worse bundles for much more money?

This was brought to my attention and I'm left wondering.

Let's say you want the GT3 wheel in Europe. You have two choices of bundles: with the shifters set and CSR pedals (not elite), or with the CSR elite pedals (then no shifters). Their price is similar: €250 and €260 respectively. Source, their website.

But if you want the very same wheel in the US, it's your lucky day! You can get a bundle of the wheel, plus the CSR Elite pedals, plus the shifter set for U$260! That's the equivalent of €180. Source, also their webside (US) - Value Pack XL.

It's not just that's almost 50% cheaper, no. It's much less money, for a very much superior bundle, which is not even available for EU customers.

Seriously?

If the same US bundle was being offered here, even for the same €260 (still almost 50% more expensive than in the US), I might even buy it. But pay so much more money for an incomplete bundle? I don't think so.

1€ = 1$ in business, because of different taxes in Europe. So you can't calculate dollars to euros and say it's less than in Europe.

Bundles are probably different because europeans and americans probably buy a bit different sets, so they are probably made up what each one may buy the most or buy the least. Fanatec knows the best why there are such bundles for different regions.

Thanks for the reply.

I would even stretch and understand the 1€ = 1$. The reasons why I would think this is somewhat bs are beyond the point.

But, see, it's not 1€ to 1$ in this case. The shifters, which are sent in the US bundle, cost €60 here in Europe. So in effect, in the US they are paying $260 for the very same equipment that here costs upwards of €310 (because there is the shipping of the shifters, not included in this Euro price).

As I said, if the bundle was available here for €260 (the same bundle that is available in the US for $260), I'd even consider buying it. So the €1 to $1 is not most relevant part of the problem here.

(edited to add the quote)

I know it is not the only thing in this case, but as you also pointed this out, I wanted to clarify this part.

The other part, you have always a possibility to ask Fanatec whether they could offer such bundle at such price here too. Though I don't think they'll do that. Probably they have such bundle in the US, because there's more Xbox360 users there than PS3 and people generally prefer the wheel with X360 support, which GT3RS lacks. So they offer them such a good package that maybe people give up x360 support to get that wheel for a lot better price. It is only my opinion, but there probably is something like that to it.
