Ok I replaced my thought from yesterday with a mini review of sorts since some people were asking for more feedback. Let me know if you have any questions.

My wheel history:
Xbox wireless wheel
Logitech DFGT
Logitech G25
Bought and returned a G27 before buying the GT2

My Current Gear:
Playseat Evo A1GP
Fanatec GT2 Wheel
Fanatec ClubSport Pedals
Fanatec Red ClubSport Color kit
Buttkicker Gamer 2
Mitsubishi 73" 73837 1080P 3D
Sony 7100ES Reciever
PS3
Xbox 360
RealD Crystal Eyes 4 3D Glasses
Boston Acoustics Lynnfield L, R, C
Velodyne 2700W Sub
Def Tech LS, RS, LR, RR

Ok here is a bit more info on my experience. I wouldn't call it a comprehensive review but maybe a preview lol. I now have approx 7 hours on the wheel(and 3 hours of sleep and a full day of work!) 6 hours of GT5 on the PS3 and 1 hour of Forza 3 on Xbox 360.

Let's talk about the components. First the Wheel just feels awesome. It is approx 12" in Diameter(a guess) but I would also guess it to be a full inch larger than the G25 I used to have. The wheel is also thicker, I would guess approx 1/2". It feels great and I think I will love having long sessions on it as my hands feel great after a 3 hour session last night and 4 hours today. The one possible negative might be staining over time with the Alcantara leather being kind of like a suede. Not sure if that will be a problem some of the GT3 guys can chime in on that. Though to me that leather is a real plus and adds to that car feel! The build quality is great very solid no flaws that I can see. It mounted straight to my playseat Evo with the Logitech screw holes so that is a definite change for the better!!! I actually drilled holes according to the Fanatec drill guide and then found I didn't have to use them LOL.

The Force Feedback motor is the strongest I've ever felt. The Belt driven motors are super strong and also quieter than anything I've used before. Easily the best feel for the road that I have felt. I'm using the ClubSport Aluminum Shifters now and they feel great, nice and large and easy to use. Having a screen on the wheel and being able to adjust settings such as Force Feedback, Drift, Rotation, ABS, etc. on the fly is just awesome. You can fine tune your wheel in the middle of a game without going to the menu.

Negatives: really only one and that is the clamping system. I don't really like it at all but that is not an issue for me since I have it hard mounted. I don't think I would like the feel if I had it clamped without the screws.

As far as individual games. GT5 feels really good. The Force Feedback is not as strong as on Forza 3 which I think feels a little better, but that's the game and not the wheel.

I think you guys know all about the ClubSport Pedals so I won't go to far into them other than to say simply amazing best pedals I've ever used and it's not even close. I think they give you a real edge.

I am posting better lap times then I have ever had to date with just my limited use so I'm very very happy. Overall so far I have to say I don't regret the $500 spent one bit. Great wheel! I will post more feedback after I have more time with the wheel.

Used the Buttkicker for the first time tonight(LOL I was real happy when UPS showed today!) It's pretty awesome and definitely a worth while investment. Now just waiting for January to get my shifters in from Fanatec.

awesome! i like that red a lot, but i gotta say....your setup would have looked like a mean machine if you got the grey or black color kit. maybe i will get that color myself? :).....i have a white playseat but not the agp1. still, very sweet setup. have you thought about how youll mount the shifter when they come? can you go: sequential=chopsticks+manual=g27 adapter and splitting the cables so that theyre both always mounted?

edit: just noticed....red backlit GT2+red buttkicker+red color pedals=nice. now i like the red a lot more ;)

Yes I have a G25/27 shifter mount. Not on their right now. When my shifter comes in I will mount it with this mount:

StevenKing70 from this forum is making one for me.

.......So.......tempting.....must.....resist begging my dad. I only got a Carrera 2 months ago :P

I hear you man. I just opened my g27 about 2 weeks ago. Already thinking about unloading it and getting either this or the GT3 RS v2

Ok you twisted my arm. It's after 1 am here in southern California and I have to be at work by 5:30 am but I just went and ordered the gt2, Clubsport peddles and the buttkicker. Now comes the agonizing wait!!!

Looking very nice! I noticed the metal bars you added under the Playseat pedal plate...did you add those yourself? I also have Playseat and I am wondering how to mount the CSP.

Very interested to see a more detail review on this wheel and pedal.

looks very nice. can't wait for my gt2 to arrive

aren't clubsport meant to be laid flat? the angle of the pedals seems way to steep, doesn't it bother your feet/legs after long sessions?

Well so far so good. I went three hours with no problems. I got rid of the spacers in between the pedal pad and the shaft which too a good 15 deg off the angle and the I mounted them very low using a couple of steel bars I cut and screwed into the original pedal plate. If it starts to bother me then I'll flip the mount around so it lays flat.

How did you manage to get a GT2 wheel.

Fanatec webshop says that it nog available yet.

The GT2 Pure Edition(wheel only) came available last week. The Clubsport Edition is the one that is not shipping till January because the shifters are unavailable. I ordered the pieces separately so I could get the Wheel in early.

Ah, thanks! :)

I saw the clubsport pedals as well on your photos and thought that it was the GT2 with clubsport.

I used the bolts that came with the Playseat to secure the G27. Same size bolts. Not sure of the length but yes they are 6mm.

Thanks. Hopefully my WheelStandPro bolts work.

As for the mounting holes, does it match up with the drilling template provided by fanatec?

Do you mind taking a picture of underneath the wheel?

I just drilled my WSP mount with the template that Fanatec provided.

you drilled it with the template they provided with a different fanatec wheel? it wont matter anyway as long as the WSP has the logitech holes predrilled. according to greekbulls post the GT2 has the same thread location as the G25/G27 so you should be fine.

Exactly^^^. I drilled according to the Fanatec template then discovered that the Logitech Holes were the ones that fit.

Did you get the G25 pedal adapter in the box? I just want to make sure they didn't forget to include it like they did with the initial PWTS shipment.

Please give us feedback on the wheel! Is it good and how does it compare to G25?
I've ordered the cs edition and I'm kind of worried because i spent quite some money...

Ok I replaced my first post with a mini review and some of my thoughts. Let me know if you want to know anything else. I will be happy to answer questions.
