My Fanatec GT2 wheel is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. I already have a wheelstandpro for my Driving Force GT wheel. Will I need to drill any holes to use the GT2 on my wheelstandpro, or will the existing holes do the trick?

I had to drill holes on my mount which was for the G25.

Interesting I know that the GT2 fit into some if the existing holes in my Playseat Evo I dint have the G25 on there so I assumed it was the G25 mount holes.

The G25 holes were about 1 inch from the center of the plate. The GT2's holes are around 3 inches from center....unless the G27 uses different mounting points.

I just realized that the GT2 has table clamps on it and so I should be able to clamp it to my wheelstandpro. I would rather not drill holes in my wheelstandpro, particularly since I only need to use it for a few weeks, while I wait for the Rennsport wheel stand to arrive.

Tomorrow is delivery day!!!

I received the GT2 wheel yesterday. I inspected it thoroughly and I determined that there is no need to drill holes in my wheelstandpro in order to mount the GT2 to it. Rather, there are two holes in the wheelstandpro that I can use to mount the GT2 using 6mm screws. I also can use part of the table clamp in order to shore up the front of the wheel.

At this point, I am content. On Tuesday of next week I should receive the adapter for the MS pedals that I have. I have the mounting kit for those for the wheelstandpro. By Tuesday night, I should have a complete set up. I still am waiting for a PC/PS3 wireless dongle, standard pedals and Rennsport wheel stand. I am currently deciding whether to just order the Clubsport pedals. I have read plenty of reviews that suggest that the Clubsport pedals are much better than the standard pedals.

You can't go wrong with the ClubSports they are an amazing piece of gear. I think they're a real game changer in GT5!

I believe there is a drill hole template on the Fanatec website.

I know, and I downloaded it and almost started to drill using the template. But, for whatever reason, the template did not match the GT2 itself. When I checked and compared the GT2 with the wheelstandpro, I realized that there was a set of holes on the wheelstandpro that lined up with the threaded holes in the GT2. At that point, I realized that I did not need to drill any holes.

Be careful about drilling using the template. Make sure the template actually matches the wheel.

I'm glad I waited to drill until I got the GT2 wheel. It is not the same as the other wheels. Fanatec needs to update their template for this wheel.

Interesting. I drilled according to the template on Fanatecs site and the holes lined up.
