Hey guys,

got a used Fanatec GT2 on Friday but unfortunately it's not working properly.

The Postal-service probably dropped it or something

Here is a video of the wobble and failure:

Has someone experienced anything like this and knows if it is fixable?

Already contacted the Fanatec Support, will keep you posted what they say about it!

Thanks

I had a GT3RS wheel that did the same thing. I took it apart and found that the shaft was broken at the area where the stop threads on. I contacted Fanatec and they told me it was not repairable. Hope this helps.

I've been talking to a buddy of mine that has a CNC and he was saying he might be able to duplicate the part. Problem being is it's gonna not be very cost effective. Good luck in your search.

Well, I contacted Fanatec about it, maybe they can help.

If not, postal service or seller needs to give me my money back, either they dropped it (package tracking said the package was damaged) or the seller didn't pack it safe enough...

If all fails I'm gonna look into other options, thought it might be a quick fix

Or the seller sold you a broken product?

could of course be the case, too... Since the package took so long and as DHL says was repackaged because of Damage, I'm inclined to trust the seller.

If I don't get my money back there's always the good ole lawyer ;]

A little late but you could remove the cover on the front of the wheel and check the tightness of the screws holding the wheel onto the shaft. Mine loosened slight and had a wobble like your video though not as bad. Tightening the screws fixed my wobble. YMMV.

You always take the risk buying things used especially with wheels since they can be quite fragile. My GT3 is going on 3 years old soon and apart from the alcantera being all matted down and dirty since i never bothered to clean it, has been working flawlessly.

Looks like the previous owner may have screwed you over. :(

Also looks like a GT3RS rim, but I guess he changed the band. Paypal claim?
