Hey guys i'm having a real dilemma with purchasing a new steering wheel. I cannot seem to find a G27 ANYWHERE and apparently i'm going to have to wait till May to get one. So the other option i've looked at is a Fanatec GT3 RS V2 with Clubsport pedals and the Porsche Wheel shifter set. I just wanted to hear some feedback from people that have them and want to know what they think. I'm going to be using it for iRacing and GT5. Price is my main concern with the Fanatec set-up. Is it really worth it to pay the extra $130 for the Fanatec set-up? Hopefully I get some quality answers, which i know I will since the guys on GTP are awesome. Thanks!

I'm surprised you can't find a G27. Have you tried Ebay?

All the sellers on eBay that have a buy now are selling them for $500+

At that price I'd rather get the Fanatec setup.

Buy the G27 or G25.If you have waited this long go buy the DFGT and save the $200.00

I own a Driving Force Pro and am not happy with its PC capabilities. No force feedback on the PC, no Clutch pedal, no h-pattern shifter, no pressurized pedals. That just won't cut it whilst playing iRacing.

Fanatec is potentially the solution. Unfortunately, their support is non-existent in the US. I have hand a lot of problems with it and GT5. The latest Fanatec update helped but I still get a "grainy" feel to the steering in GT5 and periodic hits to the wheel- very distracting. The dongle is either bad or poorly designed, I get periodic frequent dropouts, also distracting!

I suggest you check their web site and their options for support! Idiotic! I've been using the wheel (my second and second pedals) for over a year and it works very well in Forza, not sure if the problem is with Fanatec or PD etc. I suspect they point at each other.

It really is the right solution, don't want to switch wheels to change systems. If they would offer support it wouldn't be a incredibly frustrating as it has been!

I have the fanatec setup with the 911 Turbo S wheel, the stand and club sport pedals and I love it. I have the same problem as the above poster though with the dongle, I just use a long USB cable and it fixed it.

If you are going to get the club sport pedals and you are handy you might want to consider drilling 4 holes in the stand and mounting them, they move too much otherwise.

I originally had the gt3 wheel but decided to sell it because ps3 compatability was not great. Also the buttons do not light up so I had no idea what buttons I was hitting.

The hand shifter is not great on either one. You have to absolutely stick the gear and timing perfect or the car just goes into neutral. It's a shame as I prefer shifting like that vs the paddles but it's just too finniky and unrealistic. So I just use the paddles.

Look. At. My. Post.

You can get it for 300 from the manufacturer. They have it in stock and you'll get it within a few days. It's well worth it in my opinion.

For this game DFGT is fine.Computer simulations such as iRacing are a different story.Way more tuning in those games and the drivers are far superior than most on here.

also with the logitech site u can register a new product it doesnt matter if u havnt bought one and they will email u a 20percent off coupon which u can use on the g27 and if ur really lucky they will send u a survey after that which will give u another 20percent off (stackable) coupons must be entered at checkout to show the updated price!!

whos ur daddy:)
