After 5 weeks of using the McLaren GT3 v2 wheel, the paddles broke. The upshift no longer works; it does not seem to be pressing the sensor/ button. The loud click is gone, hitting the next gear is hit and miss (mostly miss), and it doesn't return to its starting position so that you then can't shift up at all.
It looks like I'm not the only one:

I'm really disappointed that Fanatec continues to sell a product that so many people have issues with so soon after starting to use it. Yes, it is an entry level wheel at a very low cost (unless you add in the extra 100 for the proper QR1), but customers still expect them to work for years, not weeks.
I will be getting after market magnetic shifters (while I save up for this beauty 🧐), because I don't see the point of shipping it back to Fanatec just to get the same inferior product back again, which may or may not last more than a few weeks.
But I thought I'd post this here:

But I thought I'd post this here:
- For people who are doing research into this very popular wheel. Buyer beware, a perceived premium brand name does not necessarily mean all products are premium.
- For @DomB_Fanatec to see and maybe report to the firm (yes, I know I can raise a ticket, but see above re expectations).
