Fanatec PS4 Elite - problem with downshifts (paddle)

Hi

I've had a problem with my downshift paddle. Sometimes it drops two gears. Other times, it doesn't downshirt at all. Sometimes it works without an issue for weeks at a time.

I've just installed the most recent firmware. And pulled the wheel off to look for dust or a broken connector. Its a bit better, but still problematic.

Is there anything else I can do, or do I need to contact Fanatec?

I haven't unscrewed the plastic casing to get at the paddles yet.

I've had the wheel about two years and use it every weekend, in case its just wear and tear.
