I've got an issue, apparently the drive belt failed for some reason (Fanacrap CSR), i contacted them and they asked me for a video, i made the video, i sent it to them and their conclusion was that i have a broken axis due to rough treatment, i told them that i have not a broken axis, and i didn't treated it roughly, it's probably the belt and it happened during racing in the middle of a corner, they replied that even if it's finally the belt, then they don't support me anyway, because it hasn't happened again to another customer (huge lie, even if it's true, what do i care???). The result is that they stopped responding since yesterday. All i want since I KNOW it's the belt is to send me a new belt and i will replace it but they advice me to buy a new wheel(!?!?!).
I will wait a little longer and then i will take the appropriate actions. Does anyone know any European organization for consumer's rights i can attend to? I bought the wheel on May 2012 via PayPal.

Since the wheel is over a year old, your warranty might've expired (I'm not sure how long Fanatec's warranty lasts), after which, I think, Fanatec isn't obligated to help you :boggled:. Anyway, if you're still under warranty (and if Greece works like Denmark in this area), I would contact the Consumer Ombudsman of Greece, which I think you can find "here". :)

Thank you for your reply, i have 2 years warranty confirmed by them, thanks a lot for the link i think this is what i wanted :)

just for the record

AMAZINGLY 10mins after posting this thread here and on 2 more forums, they sent me an email, that they misunderstood the video, and that they can offer an RMA. Unfortunately i can't stay without a wheel so long for just a belt, i will fix it myself, (i actually already have). I told them numerous times that i know that the problem is the belt, and i asked them to let me take a pic inside the base and send it to them, but unforunately they don't allow me to open the base because i'll lose warranty.

I think you need to insist with your problem to the Fanatec's service department.

They have to solve your problem, you are within the warranty.

This is true as long as it was a problem due to a manufacturing defect. Otherwise they can certainly deny a warranty claim. It does sound like he should be covered though.

I just want to say that i have been contacted again by Fanatec, they are willing to solve the problem and help me with this issue within warranty as soon as possible and as better as they can, it has been a bad communication handling from the beginning, maybe i should even ask to speak with a second support employee in the first place. They have been very kind and showed me great understanding. It appears to have been a mistake handling by their employee in the first time.
