Hello all,

First post, long time lurker. I got my Fanatec Rennsport Wheel Stand v.2 last night and I have a couple of questions. I'm using a CSR Wheel, CSRE Pedals, and CSR shifter.

1. I wasn't able to attach the mounting plate to the bottom of the wheel with the table clamp attached. I pulled that off of the wheel completely. Is that normal? Was I supposed to remove that?

2. The v.2 comes with the "shifter adapter" but it didn't come with the brace from the shifter plate to the shifter bars. Is this normal? Can I order this part? I would really like the shifter to be more stable.

Thanks,
Giezr

1. Yes. You need to take it off.

2. The shifter adapter is only compatible to the Logitech 27. The Porsche or CSR shifter adapter is optional.

I really appreciate the reply. So can I still buy the Prosche/CSR shifter adapter? When I look at the Fanatec store I don't see it listed. I found a picture of what I think I need.

Thanks,
Giezr

Giezr. I just bought this stand used and i need the metal plat adapter for my G27. If you do not need will you sell it?

Yes, you need all of those parts. The bigger chunk of metal attaches to the underside of the wheel mount, then the smaller chunk of metal (the one on the right of the picture) attaches on to that, and the shifter attaches to this. You can mount this chunk of metal above or below to have a different shifter height - mine is mounted facing down so that the shifter is lower than the wheel and works nicely.

I should point out that I had one issue, which may be due to me having an early v1 wheelstand shifter adapter: I found that there weren't long enough screws provided to attach the bigger chunk of metal to the underneath of the wheel mount and also to screw through far enough to also attach to the wheel itself, so I had to use longer ones (I think the ones I used were actually out of my G25 box, but not sure). No big deal, but if you don't have anything lying around you could end up disappointed that you can't mount the shifter as expected. Then again, probably this has been rectified in the v2 shifter adapter?

The piece on the far right in the picture is the shifter adapter set which you can purchase on the Fanatec webshop.

Until you get the shifter adapter set, there is a way to make the shifter a lot more stable using the chopsticks. You need some short screws with nuts that will fit between the chopsticks. Just put the screws in and tighten them up to apply extra tension on the chopsticks. I did this on mine and it worked great, the shifter was solid as a rock. Here are pictures:

Thanks for the reply. As you state the, bigger chunk, this is the piece i need. Is there any chance you could take measurements and post them. I can try to have someone make it for me. I contacted Fanatec directly in Germany and since they sell the newer model V2, which comes with this piece, the no longer just sell this plate. Strange.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can take the measurements later when I get home from work unless someone else beats me to it. If I don't see another reply I will post it.

Thanks Jarhead. I will try this on my CSR wheel set up, which uses the chop sticks.
