I just bought A Turbo S with standard pedals which I should receive on the 7th of Sept. After researching the standard pedals there seems to be nothing but complaints. I'm doing this poll in hopes that there are some folks that haven't had any problems with them. I'm pretty easy on my equipment so I'm hoping I will be ok since I don't have the money to spend on ClubSports right now.

Mine (GT2) is getting here the 6th. Standard pedals too for the same reason. I have heard the complaints as well. Just remember that people that are unhappy are more vocal. I am sure there are more out there with no issues. Also, from what I read, in the past few months quality control has been better.

If all else fails, I hear Fanatec will give you a discount on CSP's if there are issues with the standard ones. Dunno.

Lets both keep our fingers crossed.

The standard pedals arent too bad...
Its just the huge minus factor about it is that the brakes dont have a lot of resistance and tension on them. The gas pedal and clutch weren't as bad as I thought they would be though. But remember this is my opinion.

I no longer have the standard pedals since I am now using G25 pedals on my Carrera wheel and they definetely do an outstanding job for me. 👍
But of course not as redeeming as the clubsport pedals though.

Fanatec's standard pedals are pretty crappy. I'll be ordering CSP's soon......I just wish I went with CSP's from the get go.

I bought mine along with my PWT used. The original owner had them for a year and now I've owned them for a year as well. I've had no issues with them as of yet.

Congrats, I know what you mean about people with problems being more vocal but it was hard to find anyone say that they had no problems, in fact I didn't find any.

But I've always wondered, how does it compare between the driving force GTs' pedals? Minus the clutch, but a question that im referring to is like the tension and the amount of resistance it has between Fanatec's Standard pedals and the Driving Force GTs pedals.

They're pretty comparable as far as the feel of the pedals.....I never had any problems with my DFGT pedals not working properly though.

What malfunctioned in your standard pedals?

They started malfunctioning after about 3 weeks. To get 100% brake pressure or throttle, I have to unplug the pedals and plug them back in constantly to get them to work properly. My GT2 wheel has been great so far though....no complaints there.

Sorry, the potentiometers are prone to coming loose. Learn how to fix them and you'll be fine (elastic bands).

Thanks for the idea. I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully I wont need it especially seeing as how Iv'e heard those pedal are a nightmare to get back together once they are apart.

I've heard about this problem, but I won't be taking the pedals apart myself to fix them. I'll try my luck with CSP's since they're what I really wanted when I got my wheel, I just couldn't justify spending that much money at one time for a game.

It seems my wheel is ahead of schedule so I guess im getting it the same day as you. YES!!!!!!!!!

LOL mine got changed today the 7th! WTH??

Well my pedals will be here today...wopee doo :P

That sucks you got to wait an extra day for the wheel. How do the pedals feel?

Got the pedals last night at 8:30pm Central time...wth is up with that UPS?

To be honest I am semi-impressed. They "feel" better than I thought. Brake is pretty stiff, clutch isnt as stiff, and gas pedal seems kind of loose (as in not stiff).

For plastic pedals they look good, and feel good so far. Of course this is coming from someone who has only used DFGT, and MS, pedals at home. So the big "?" is....do they work? Well, wont know till Wednesday, and will only have one evening to test them out...Football starts Thursday!

So, please post your exp with them Tuesday!

how stiff is it, is it G25 or G27 stiff? is there a popular way to mod it?

Umm stiffer than the DFGT pedals, not as stiff as G/27 ones. Although the g27 ones I tried out were Nixim modded, so...

Errm, had them over a year, now experiencing problems with potentiometers and looking for replacement. (see sig.....shameless I know)

There were some G25 pedals for sale on ebay last week but doesnt seem to be anything now.
P.S. Throw in a vote for "issues after 6 months" if you don't mind.

Ye, I missed out on those, trouble with ebay is having the funds when the auction ends, all about timing :)

1 more day!! I'll be sure to let you know. I get off work at 8:30pm so I'll try and post something before midnight.

Just got my pedals but no wheel. I just checked the tracking info and it looks like the wheel will be here tomorrow. I hate Fed Ex. How does 2 boxes that leave together get here 2 different days?

I dont get it either. Well mine got shipped UPS from Cali. Wheel ordered before pedals, and shipped the next day. Wheel shipped 2 days later, yet the actual business days of getting here for the wheel is 2 days longer. Logistics...I dont understand them.

How do the pedals feel to you?

Pedals feel pretty good. Better than I thought. The clutch feels great! It has that spot in the middle where the tension drops just like the real thing. Gas pedal could have a bit more tension but not any worse than the dfgt so im pretty pleased. The H shifter I was a bit surprised with. Its a bit tough moving side to side but im assuming it will feel more natural once its mounted to something. Can't wait for the wheel tomorrow.

I had an issue after 2 weeks where the pedals would brake about 5-10% whenever I changed gears with the clutch and that has slowly been getting worse and sometimes when i press the pedal down fully the game only registers about 85% which is really annoying when i am trying to be competitive, I have also more recently had a problem with the velcro strips because they have come off and are now attached to my cockpit and my pedals basically glue to the cockpit now which is far from ideal.

To me the brake on the standard pedals is lacking. Given the amount of tension, throw is way too short. Otherwise they don't feel bad for something cheap.

The H-shifter does feel much better when mounted to a stand or cockpit. And after some break-in it starts to feel pretty nice. The tension is provided by two foam pads inside the housing, and regular use seems to wear them in a bit.

Nice! That's kind of what I figured, or what I was hoping anyway.

Well, I just received my wheel. Only one minor problem. The seller forgot to include the cable to connect the shifter. :indiff: Thankfully its only $2.00 from Fanatec. Just stinks that im going to have to wait to either get the seller to send me it or wait for it to come from Fanatec. It doesn't seem like any stores sell these cords. I only found extensions and I need the cord to be a male on both ends. Update: The seller just told me he is going to send me the cable today , so I should have it in a couple days.

On another note the wheel looks great. I've always preferred the look of the Turbo S over the GT2. The paddle shifters feel pretty solid too. The only gripe I guess would be the directional pad. It seems to get half stuck when pressing the up button and I have to press the down button for it to go back to its correct position. Hopefully this wont interfere in the menus.
