I am going to piggy-back on your threadgot my wheel today as well!
Attached the paddle shifters, hooked everything up. Tried it out with Shift2 on the PS3. Everything worked find including pedals, and full motion for them. Shift2 is going to take some tweaks to get dialed in right, but thats how that game is.
Tried it on Forza3, and synced with no issues. Only gave a quick test run, but DAMN, it feels nice. Yes, big difference from the MS Wheel and DFGT. The brake is going to be something I have to get used to. I am ordering the shifter today, and hopefully, the CSP's by next week.
So far I like everything, and the quality is top notch. The GT2 looks and feels much better than in the vids I seen.
Will give a full review once I get some game time with it.
How do you like the wheel?
I tried out GT5 last night and also noticed a huge difference over the DFGT. The Fanatec just feels a ton more solid. The DFGT makes normal rattle noises when the wheel jerks around. The Turbo S is silent and just feels rock solid. I also found drifting a bit easier with this wheel. I couldn't drift in GT5 with the DFGT and last night I found myself doing it for fun at times.
Just put the shifter on with the chopsticks while I was watching the football game and I'm very impressed with how the shifter feels and how well the chopsticks hold it.
Well from Sept. 6th 2011 - October 1st 2011. Thats how long my Standard Pedals worked. So almost a month of working pedals.
I just sent an e-mail to Fanatec with a video of the brake pedal NOT giving the full arc. You know, press it all the way down, and it doesnt give you full brake in the telemtry screen. Hops around a bit, but wont go full force.
What a bummer. I did order the CSR Elites, but not sure when they are getting here. So, chalk one up to another Standard Pedal user disappointed.
Lets see how the CS handles this.
