EDIT: I completely missed the CSW Review Thread so I guess this thread is quite useless. Unless the CSL Range is news!

CSL Range

In this http://f-wheel.com/forums/index.php/topic,28009.0.html link, to the Fanatec Fan Site, a user hints at a new Fanatec CSL Range that is supposedly to be priced under the CSW range.
The name would make sense as they already have the CSL Seat.

Does anyone have any information on this new range? I´m very interested!

I searched the forum and haven´t found anything so I thought I might as well post it.
Some people found this picture in the new Fanatec Drivers:

I'd say highly unlikely since it would only drive the price up which wouldn't make much sense, for the csl range is supposed to be cheap. I'd say the new csl wheel(akin to gt2 now) will be 350 euros at the very worst.

Actually a cheaper wheelbase with a detachable wheel rim from Fanatec is extremely likely. Thomas did write...
There are several more wheel bases at various price points planned to be released and there will also be another steering wheel for Xbox One to be announced later this year which will be targeted to a broader audience at a much lower price point.

So the possibility of a CSL sounds about right. I wonder if it will be worth it though. The only Xbone option costs an additional $400. So even if this wheel base was $250, Xbone compatibility would still be expensive. Thank goodness for a less expensive Xbone wheel rim. I have the feeling that it's going to be a reworked CSR-Elite rim with the quick release attached. Perhaps the wheel rim thickness will be uniform? That would be nice. I'm guessing it will sell for $150.00 US.

Aside from price, I also wonder if Fanatec will be simply using brushless motors with the PW/CSR design all in a new housing?

If fanatec can find a solution that would cost 500 total(I mean the wheel base, rim and all that stuff together. I know the pedals will be bought for extra and i'm okay with that), i will give yo u 10 bucks Dopplegagger. (i keep it low since thomas is a crazy ****er and might actually pull it off)

Sounds like I am about to get 10 bucks. Woot.

Just so you know, my wager is for full retail price. Not the pre-order, not the member discount, not the invitational price. The regular joe price. I'm very much okay with giving away 10 usd if fanatec can sell me a "wheel base with quick release system + a fully working rim" for 500 usd or under. It doesn't matter if the rim is system like "hub+rim" or a complete rim like "bmw m3 gt2"

Don't worry about it. I wasn't going to actually make a wager on it. I'm good with it just being a figurative bet. No money needs to change hands.

Dude the money is no problem, i might make it 20 even. Just wanted to be clear :D I'll be one happy son of a gun if i can get such a system for such a price that i won't even care about a few bucks. The anxiety is slowly setting in. Just when i was thinking about getting a t300 rs. Damn you thomas.

I'm eagerly waiting for the Fanatec DD wheel... I cant bring my self to buy that hideous looking Accuforce wheel... Please be more crazy!

So am I but please don't hesitate to perform closer from an OSW than an Accuforce :)

So, when does the craziness start? :dopey:
Forza is almost out and iRacing is coming out with dynamic tracks! My CSR is screaming retirement :P

Yeah, no kidding. The meds must have been ordered as soon as the post went up. It's almost like Thomas is all sedated and drooling, or something? :P

(Just kidding. I know Thomas is much more busy than the average person.)
