Fanatec wheels freeze

HI GUYS
how many of you have had the freezing issue with your fanatec wheel.
from testing i know it has nothing to do with the wireless connectivity as it happens on the ps3 and pc with a usb connection.
i found a video on youtube of someone with the problem and had a video camera running while it happened.

I've had it happen on the original Porsche Turbo S wheel and also on my new CSR Elite wheel. I had it happen often (once every 2 or 3 hours) with the first Turbo S wheel and then the problem seemed to go away. It's happening again now with the Elite wheel and still don't know why.
 
Happened to me as well. My Porsche 911 Turbo S disconnected randomly for a few hours. Went away by it self. Never happened again. *knock on wood*

Happened to a friend of mine with a GT2 also.

did it freeze or disconnect - these are two different issues
 
I don't know if it actually disconnected from the xBox but generally the wheel went all the way to left lock and usually the accelerator was stuck floored. The only way to clear it was to turn the wheel off and back on.

in your case it froze.
when it disconnects you will get a message on screen ( reconnect controller)
 
Could it be a "electrical disturbance" somewhere near where you're using the wheel?

I've had a PWTS, a CSR and two CSR Elites. They never disconnected once.
 
My CSR has momentarily lost "signal" twice for like 2 seconds. Happened on GT5 , the only game I use it on.

I emailed FANATEC and am waiting for a response from them. I do not have a working video camera to capture the 3 problems I am having , maybe they will not even reply because I did not send a video with their list of demands.

So far FANATEC is starting off on the wrong foot. Especially when you spend $300 bucks on a setup.
 
This problem has now happened to my PWTS, totally froze and input was stuck, crashed in iRacing as a result, it is a different issue from the disconnects with the ps3.
 
Unfortunately Fanatec does not seem to support products in my country as it's not bought in their web-shop. However this is only my case, I'm sure Fanatec will be able to help others with the same problems.
