Well, I was racing the Rally Challenges, and then you got that 30 initial seconds, where you can't control your car, while the others start the race before you. Very annoying...

So, I was choosing the best camera option, and then I realize that the fans sounds are always the same. Something like: "Yeahhh!! Uhuuulll! Clap clap clap clap"

Now, the glitch: when you change camera mode, or look back (by pressing L1), the fans sounds will be "reloaded" from the beginning... So if you change cameras real fast, guys will be like: "Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye-Ye..."

Even when your just waiting for the start, the fans sounds really annoying,

yeah yeah uh uh uh uh , yeah yeah uh uh uh uh, OVER AND OVER 👎

It isn't exaclty a glitch. The sounds reset whenever you change camera views because there is a different filter on it for some of the views (e.g. cockpit view sounds muffled). So I'm guessing that in order to have it be seamless, they would have to have all of those sounds running at once, which presumably would require enough RAM to store the loops and play them, and then when you switch views it would switch to the specific one appropriate to that view. As we know, though, the PS3 has barely any RAM (128KB or something along those lines), and GT5 needs all of it as it is, so they can't afford to sacrifice any RAM, especially for something as minor as this.

128KB RAM lol. Try 256MB.

The crowd effects in this game are awful...

Too arcadey, too much going on.

They should tone them down massively and maybe implement dynamic effects such as overtake a car at speed (a daring out braking effort) and more airhorns burst into life with a rapturous applause or spin out and a sarcastic cheer erupts to welcome you onto the grass...

Reminds me of arcade games from the early 90's

Too right!

At the start of a race on GT5...

"3... 2... 1... beeeeep!"

Thats soooooo Playstation 1 lol

lol, still livin in the 80s ?

Well, let's say 2005, where people don't trust Wikipedia for a reason :D Yah, wrong, but it still doesn't have very much ram and LOOK AT GT5! it still needs room for all of the graphics and things and my point was that the noise that the crowd makes was rightly not at the top of their priority list, for once.
