There's been a lot of controversy about this re-imagining, what with the liberal changes to the characters, the casting choices, and the complete lack of information leading up to this point, but I have to say: this is a good looking trailer. Not that that means a whole lot these days - trailer making has become something of an art in itself - but it does look a lot more interesting than either of the other two movies from the last decade.

Thoughts?

I actually liked the first two films over this pos. This will be the first Marvel film that I will be actively skipping.

Still too soon to tell. I'm not a fan of the dark and gritty look, though. I'm afraid this is just being made to satisfy the licensing contract terms.

From first look I cannot say I am too impressed... the two before this seemed much better. Only time will tell but I really think this may not be that good a film... sadly...

It isn't about the dark and gritty, if anything the people behind the upcoming Dr. Strange film could take notes. The issue that I have is that they have taken the Amazing Spider-man route and based a lot of the lore from the Ultimate universe when they shouldn't. When you take that and the fact that they are trying to retell the origin story again could turn into a disaster.

The only saving grace that this film could have is that they actually, if reports are accurate, that they are following the comic books in that the Mole Man is the villain of the film.

Dr. Strange is dark and gritty. It should practically be a supernatural thriller. Fantastic Four...not so much.

................Interesting trailer. Don't remember much from the previous two FF movies other than a completely miscast Doom and Susan Storm. Oh and the fact that Johnny became Steve. That was unexpected.
I think Josh Trank could make a half decent film, if Fox wasn't too...strict with him.
