Is anyone interested in joining a fantasy football league on Yahoo? If enough people are interested, I'll set it up. And let me know if you're up for a Live Draft, or if an auto-draft will be better.

Neat, I'll go set it up right now.

I'd like to get between 8 and 12 teams if we could. Any more than 12 and the talent pool to pick from is too thin. And that sucks for the guy who has to pick twelfth. But if more than 12 players want to sign up, that's cool. The maximum allowed by Yahoo is 20, so I can't do anything about that if 21 people want to sign up.

K, I am in and signed up... We aren't doing a live draft right? Hopefully through out the season, I can figure this crap out. 💡
 
Well, I have it set up for autopick draft right now. If enough people want to do a live draft, I'll do that. The Live Draft is better, because some people get royally screwed with an autopick.

For the autopick, you just give rankings to players, and Yahoo sorts everything out at the draft based on your ratings.

If we do a live draft, you just log onto Yahoo and pick the player you want if he is available, just like the NFL draft. Those who don't attend the Live draft will have their picks selected from their autopick rankings.

I don't think anything I just said makes any sense. Yahoo will tell you everything you need to know.
 
Come on guys, I know there are a lot of football fans out there, and this isn't that hard! So sign up and make this years football season a little bit more fun!
 
I would, but I hate football, and I refuse to watch any of it until the Rockies are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
 
I'd like to have the draft by this coming Wednesday, because the season starts Thursday. I'd like to get at least 2 more people to sign up.

It's an autodraft. I tell Yahoo when to conduct the draft after everyone has preranked all their players. Your picks are intelligently picked based on what positions you need filled in your roster, and by the rank you give players.

Everyone is welcome. Just sign up. We do need an even number of teams to conduct a draft, though. Right now we just have 7 teams.

Right now, I have the draft set to Tuesday. This will give you plenty of time to set your lineup up by the first game on Thursday.

All you have to do from there is move the players to the right-most column in the order you want them drafted. When it's your turn in the draft, your highest ranked player will be picked. If you don't want a certain player drafted, just move him to the left-most column and he won't be drafted.

icemanshotter: you can't rank positions. Yahoo will select your picks based on the positions you need filled and the rank you give players. You won't get stuck with 10 running backs or something like that. You'll get at least one player for every position.
 
I changed the name of my team to "The Flamin Fairies". Its got a nice ring to it. I noticed there were alot of Jock Strap teams so i had to go for originality. I did that player edit thing and probably messed everything up. Anyway, this sounds like fun.

I set the draft to 'ready'. The draft should take place sometime soon, I would think. I want to stay up to see who I get, but if I don't see the results soon, I'm going to bed.
 
Already set up my team. And I must say, getting Brett Farve as your starting QB isnt a great start. My team has so many holes its great. Last place here i come.

Brett Favre is one of the top 5 QBs.

Drop Garcia and pick up a real backup QB. There are about a dozen left in the free agent pool. Like David Carr, Joey Harrington, Byron Leftwich, Jake Delhomme, Jake Plummer. Any QB is good enough. Running backs are what carry your fantasy team and you've got two backs (Griffon and Dillon) who look like 1300-ish backs who can score quite a few TDs. Garrison Hearst isn't going to give you much and Jerome Bettis isn't either.

You should start Corey Dillon and Quentin Griffin - your other backs aren't going to do much of anything. And you should probably start Isaac Bruce in place of Jerry Rice.

Don't worry about last place. Silverzone guaranteeed that spot when he drafted the entire Dallas Cowboys team and kept Brady on the bench. SILVERZONE: START BRADY! PLEASE!

Good question. I am trying, but I don't know what the hell I am doing! My team looks pretty good, I'll stick with it and learn as I go.
 
You'll figure it out. I just recently figured it out after I created an awful team in another league and read a few articles around the web. I even got rid of Kevan Barlow to pick up Aaron Brooks. That was exceedingly stupid.
