Far Cry 2. Love it or hate it?

Havent played Crackdown or Saints Row 2, but own Just Cause 2 and enjoying it a lot. Possibly the biggest game map seen on a console game? The missions may be repetitive but I dont think Ive played a more enjoyable game for simply charging about blowing stuff up, and that's what counts - fun. Finding new ways to use the grapple hook is a blast. And there's loads to find too.

You really need to checkout Crackdown and Saints Row 2. 2 of THE best sandbox games ever made. Or you could wait for Crackdown 2 since it comes out July the 6th.

To answer your question about the biggest game map. That is FUEL and it is actually in the Guinness book of world records. That game is massive!! With the fastest vehicles in the game is still takes 3 real life hours to get from one end of the map to the other end of the map. I know because I actually did it at least 3 times. 2 times for achievements.
 
Wow. I thought Oblivion was the last word in huge gameworlds, then came Just Cause 2. Makes you wonder, what with the capacity of blu-ray discs, how far can game developer's go? Imagine taking it into outer space with multiple planets to go to. Remember a game called Damocles on the ST and Amiga? That one's just crying out for a remake or sequel.
 
Like I said, nothing is anywhere near as big as FUEL. Fuel is over 5 times larger than Test Drive Unlimited. Seriously you cant comprehend how big FUEL is until you actually play it and try to make it across the map. Just Cause 2 is huge but its still nothing compared to FUEL. The real reality check is the first time you come across the Grand Canyon.
 
All said and done, I think Im gonna give FC2 another chance. Don't get me wrong, I dont hate the game, just think it was spoiled slightly by than respawning design flaw. Have recently started playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and loving it, especially the online. Will eventually get Battlefield 2, definetely getting Crysis 2, and possibly MAG. Into online shooters at moment. What's MAG like anybody? Want to know if there is a lag issue since it is online only and my connection copes fine with Vegas 2, both MW games, Killzone 2, Cod WAW and Resistance 2.
