Okay just tuned into SKY+ Anytime and saw a listing for Far Cry. Never thought it'd be anything to do with the game but was surprised when I read in it's description that it was 'based on the hit video game.'
Now I never even knew they were making a film of Far Cry. Currently about 10 mins into the movie as I write this and it looks like having nothing to do with either game - it looks more like Predator because a bunch of heavily armed goons have just been wiped out by a creature of some sort in a jungle. It's got me intrigued. Looks like there's a decent cast as well - Kevin Fairbrass (sporting a half decent US accent)from London's Burning and Cliffhanger and that bloke from Inglorious B*****ds, as well as a few more familiar faces. Will have to keep watching because the Sky synopsis doesn't say what the story is.
