Why do the R10 and the 908 backfire? Or do they have broken air filters?
Because diesel engines can not backfire if they are operating normally.
In other words, it's just not authentic and realistic, if the R10 and 908 backfire as hell.
I heard a R10 in real and yes it can be pretty load to my surprise, even though that DTM Audis are much loader with there gasoline engines, but that's OK, I'm fine with the sound except for the backfire sound and visual effect.
I doubt that PD wants to change this or is even aware that they made a mistake here.
