In the first movie, it was mainly all about imports. Then only domestic car there was the mighty Dodge Challenger. I was looking forward to seeing more "Muscle" cars in the sequel, but it looks like the only domestic car coming out in part two is a Ford SVT Cobra. I really think they should have included more "Muscle" cars in the sequel than imports. I think it would have been a lot better to have had "Muscle" cars along with other High Performance vehicles. For example, I think a supped up Viper going up against a stock ferrari would have been a lot more exciting that watching a civic against an integra again. Or the classic showdown between the Camaro against a Mustang. Just talking about it makes me get goosebumps all over don't you guys agree?? :)

I agree. But the majority of people seeing this piece of crap will be a bunch of kids who pretend they're Japanese. Furthermore, they'd rather see a Civic race because they can buy one and make it look like a car that's supposed to look like it can go fast.

That is soooooo true. I have no clue why the producer decided to call the movie "The Fast and the Furious" when most of the time, those imports sound like if they had a bad burrito for breakfast. A V8 engine by far sound more agressive than any V4 or V6 car out there. I really hope someone comes up with a movie involving true horse power.

yes a V8 does sound pretty nice (if anybody saw footage and sound of the Monaro at the bathurst 24 hour race they would know what im talking about)
but you talk about true horsepower if it wasnt for the japanese (especially here in Aus) all we would ever see is these pushrod dinosaurs everwhere
have you seen how much power these rice eaters can get out of these cars? AND keep them reliable?
...Ill take something the japanese made over anything alse any day... and twice on sunday

Whatever. You know when people talk import they are talking about Japanese cars 99 percent of the time. The Fast and the Furious is a movie for the masses so it focuses primarily on cars that are insanely popular and common, Japanese imports.

well in the making of the movie they destroyed 5 Saleen Mustangs...thats sad

That's true. They freaking killed off the most hardcore car on the Fast and the Furious original move, the Dodge Charger. I went into tears when the car flipped over and got totalled.
In the previews, I saw a SVT Cobra being flipped over by a small import ( Japanese ) car. Ya, I should have clarified that when I meant "import", I really meant Japanese cars. You really didn't see that many German, italian or French cars in that move. An Audi 4 against a supra would have been an interesting matchup. Also, why not see a Z4 Roadster go up against an S2000? I think the producer knew that the only way to beat a true sports car ( American, cough cough ), is to actually make it crash or something...

yup thats the only way a Japanese car could beat a Saleen or any other american sports car for that matter.

Depends really, if they were both stock, no chance...but if you took all the spare money in the prices and put it into the car it would probably be an even match for both cars. ;)

you reckon? id take a modded car over a stocker, and an import over anything Ford or Gm(h) can dish up :p

Come on now until the Mustang crapped itself I was able to beat a few modded Imports. And I had the Ghetto Stang.

Even over a stock GT40 or an AC Cobra? For that matter how about a Cuda, Chevelle SS, Charger, Challenger....The list goes on and on. I can't think of one import I'd take over any of those. In a 1/4 mile or otherwise.

I laughed when that Charger crumpled.....the f'n movie was about imports and the import scene....get over it...have someone else make a movie with the cars you want, it's not going to be in fast and the furious. Go watch some old episodes of Dukes of Hazzard if you like that ****. Surprised there are any Chargers left after that show.

they are supposed to have C5Rs, mustangs, vipers. so there will be more 'muscle'.
Now... that makes sense!!
NOT!!!!
How many times did you see a Corvette C5R participating in a streetrace?! :banghead:

This is a totally moronic post. A perfect specimen, if you will.

Import scene...

I'm ashamed they filmed this in Miami. That's the only reason i might see it, really.

Yeah. The first movie was bad, I can't imagine this one. They've got supercar rice in this one (NSX). My friends adore these movies, all that they know about cars is that "NAAWZZ" makes you go faster, and neon underglow looks "cool". More like "tacky".

NAAWZZ wears your engine out, and underglow is just totally nasty.

And according to the film, NAAWZZ will make the underside of yer car fall off when the manifold overheats.
