Fastest classic muscle car on route x?

has anyone done a 'classic muscle' only race on route x yet?
i can assume these would be the top dogs....all are not broke in at all, so they'll all gain some hp in the process.

62 special @ 831hp (EDIT/my bad i guess special isnt considered vintage muscle)
71 charger superbee @ 827hp 245mph
70 superbird @ 787hp 248mph
70 challenger @ 768hp 260mph
66 cobra @ 742hp 266mph
67 cougar @ 739hp 256 mph
71 mach 1 stang @ 714hp 255mph

keep in mind no PP limit would be set, and the 'classic muscle cars only' would be selected.

im gonna do some testing//ill try to post some results later on if anyone is interested.(no clue what #'s im gonna aim for...270mph? no clue.)

itll be a race scenario(so full drafting for maximum mph)

alright, cool. looks like the cobra is the fastest for me.

all races were done with one lap/no tire wear/no penaltys(to allow for bump draft) and with slipstream on high. most races were with just one other guy. so between that factor and fine tuning the tranny a bit, you could def get higher speeds(especially drafting 4 or 5 guys in a row). but for now, for me, cobra reings supreme.

weird to see that the highest HP cars got the lowest top speeds.prob has alot to do with the weights of the cars. thats the main reason i see the cobra going faster than other muscle cars.

looks like i had 125kg of ballast on the super bee too when i ran the test, so id add a couple mph to that top speed.
 
Sounds like fun. In real life (LeMans) a Cobra was clocked at 198.something mph.

I've only run a dozen cars so far, mostly from the top PP of the list.

Weight really doesn't affect top speed. drag coefficient does. The cobra is much smaller with less frontal area thus the (potentially) higher top speed
