The caterham is probably the best bet handleing wise. I would probably go with an s2000 though. A well tuned miata can run with the best.

can't use a caterham in races

that said...how bout a tommy kaira ZZII?

Is a Metro 6R4 in the Japanese version? It's supposed to be in the Euro editon...

Go for a Rally Car - they're all limited to a max of 300bhp and you should have the advantage of 4WD and a low weight. 👍

The Impreza WRX STi Spec C is very good (Cornering, stable, lightweight) It represent the 4WD Japan!! I have videos of Best Motoring is you guys want to see : Tsukuba Battle - Evo 8 MR (3 MRS) vs. WRX STi Spec C vs. WRX STi V-Limited.

UPHILLS = TURBO CARS AT LEATS IN REALITY ;)
EVEN A POWERFULER na ENGINE WILL LOOSE TO A TURBO BECAUSE OF THE TORQUE AT LEST THAT'S WHAT bEST mOTORING SAID AND SHOWED :)

edit:
sorry for caps there was an ad in front of the quick reply box lol sooorrry

oh and btw in Top Gear the evo8 mr is so much ahead of the Subaru I would go for it...even tough on Tsukuba if the game is realistic they should be even.

I can't wait :/ still need to find myself a tv tough mine just blew up :scared: smoke and stuff

Cos the powers that be had too much saki one lunch time and decided not to allow it...

Sorry, may be i missed something, but i read from the first post, ....are we suppose to modify the car? or we have to keep it in stock.

If we need to use a stock car, I think Evolution 8 MR and S2000 are good choices
If you are able to modify it, then.....lots of other choices, since if you modified an Elise to near 300hp, it would be a very very fast car. Or just dump a Turbo/Supercharge in S2000/MRS, then all the uphill problem will be gone

You may find that the WRX Spec C is over 300HP out of the showroom. Same is probably true for the EVO VIII MR and for that matter an Evo VII. An Evo VI (GSR TME for preference or an RS which would be lighter) might slip under the 300HP limit before an oil change (I'll check tonight). I tried the Impreza 22b at the Special Condition Costa di Amalfi race and was none too impressed with the brakes. The Lancer Evo III I tried there previously seemed to have better brakes. Do you have the Mazdaspeed Atenza? That ought to be OK for power provided you can race it.

Isn't the Vauxhall/Opel VX220 Turbo in GT4... that car has torque and power to weight to beat some seriously high powered cars!

Small and nimble too...

Dave

Great car, that. I won the Grand Valley Enduro with this car, in GT3 - beating the Arta NSX and other JGTC cars to do so.

It has superb agility. Okay, it's not as nimble as an F1 car, but it's closer than most other cars in the game. It slides *a lot*, so to use it effectively you have to be able to control a little 4 wheel drift.

The best 300< hp car would easily be the Elise (whichever is the fastest model available). To use that would be tantamount to cheating, it would just cane everything else.

Toyota 7. Oh that one's got 800 bhp XD

Mazda RX8, 246hp and pretty light, and it handles very good. Add a different muffler and balance the engine, then it gets a better torqueline, also make it abit lighter, then it should be a real 300hp turbocar killer. (stay above 6500rpm for max power)

how many hp can you get in the Audi RS4, RS6, Quattro -82? or some other. sry for my english

I think all the EVOs and Skylines have higher HP output than in the showroom, at least in GT3 had....

You buy a R34 GT-R Vspec 2 and change the oil, 276 hp becomes instantly 340 or something like that :(

that's prob b/c in real life they were advertized as 280ps when they really had around 330ps - 350ps...

miatas are pony.Thye are too weak not enuff torgue.

Skyline and evos could only be advertised as having 276hp due to japanese law but really they have more power than that.

I stick with the VX220 Turbo (Opel Speedster turbo)

I think its more nimble than the Elise through the corners if the settings are right

the mr, i don't like how the s2k handles in the game..

You should try that asl garaiya. It doesn't weight much and it has under 200 HP stock. So, my opinion is: Buy it, tune it and race it :)

Proper gearing > torque ...

The S2000 has a pretty fat torque curve, albeit at a low figure ... This means that fat torque curve combined with its high redline can EASILY make up for its low torque with proper gearing ... Although that means you may have to buy a custom transmission ...
