Its not in production, and chanches are, I'm guessing 99.9% that it never will be. But the BMW X5 "Le Mans" test car. That is powered by the same V-12 6.0 used in the BMW LMR raced car that just retired, hit 194mph. Yup, thats right, An X5 hit 194mph. WIsh BMW would make this, even if I'll probably never have one!

194?!?!?! :eek: I'm not sure if I'd want to be in a vehicle that tall going that fast!
 
It was on " the ring" in germany, so it had plenly of conors too take. Shows the excellent build, and handling of BMW's. It finished a full alp in 7:49. They say thats big stuff, for anything appearently, X5 or not.

The only SUV to go 195 would have to be lowered to the ground with some wicked aerodynamics otherwise......get me a road made of flawless glass that was 90 miles long
 
Although that X5 sounds impressive, I'm sure if someone gave Gemballa or Ruf free reign on a Cayanne, it would also haul ass.

they could make 2 versions, a raod going version not designed for 4wding , and a off road version, with big fat tyres and all

The Espace F1 is said to have a top speed of also 194 mph but that's probably just calculations..

So you didn't see the bit about it lapping the Nurburgring, in 7:49 then?
