When you are drifting and you get of the gas and turn into a corner without braking or down shifting the back tires lock up
Only for a second
But this can upset your driving
This is not supposed to happen
This makes the cars spin out way to easily
You have to be pretty good to know how to counteract this defect

Solution
The solution would be
Countersteer just enough to make the car go a little faster
then tap the brake this will make the car straighten out a little more
Then step on it

This fault can also cause very harsh snap back

Solution
only use half throttle
Because letting go of the throttle would cause this fault to occur again
Then counter steer very smoothly back towards the position you would like to be in

This is not engine braking
This is a fault in the game
This topic has been discussed on many other threads

When GT4 first came out makers of the game had posted this on there news center
Same solution and everything

Goodluck

I'm not 100% sure but think that's supposed to happened, it sounds like your describing lift-off oversteer. You go into a corner with high revs and then you let off the gas causing the rear tires to "unload" and break traction causing oversteer..... but like I said I'm not real sure so I could be wrong.

In life off oversteer the tires just roll slower then they did letting the car get out of understeer
Soon after you stop understeering and get a good grip of things
You hit the gas
and end up in somewhat of a power over
This is a little different
Maybe I described it weird
Let me check

I coudlnt understand nothing you said,is it me?

Maybe thats what everyone says about me:dopey:
not to get off topic though,i think he is talking about lift-off oversteer.
It's not a fault in GT4.

Im guessing what he is saying is this:
When you drift and let go of your gas, the tires automatically lock up and the only way to correct is to brake but yeah...I never notice this but I always correct it with the Ebrake if I go too sharp in

This is not engine braking

Engine braking is just letting your engine slow down on it self, without hitting the brakes or Gas or anything.
Even though it is brought up and explained in many threads, why bring it up? like how E4D said about it, why do you bring it up?
