What are your favorite companies for games.

Racing: Tie between CodeMasters and PD. PD really likes it's fans and listens, and CM makes some awesome racers.

Shooter: Don't play a lot, but Dice/EA hands down. Why? They don't make Call of Duty.

Free Roaming: Rockstar

Overall: Codemasters.

Mobile: Kairosoft. They make cool simulation games.

Other good devs: Ubisoft (hit or miss), Naughty Dog, Bethesda (FlatOut).

Come up with your own categories. I'm not a very diverse gamer, so I don't have many categories.

Racing: My favourite companies are those with the better quality/price ratio Simulators on the market so: ISI, SimBin and Kunos Simulazioni. Their actual stuff is great, their next one will be even better.

Stealth: Special mention for Kojima / Konami for Metal Gear, and Tom Clancy / Ubisoft for Splinter Cell.

Obviously, thumb down for EA because they don't give a damn about their quality.

Well, overall, it would have to be Blizzard and its subsidiaries, of course. The WarCraft, StarCraft and Diablo franchises are, to me, still the best games in the history of ever.

So, Blizzard would also cover the real time strategy genre as well as RPGs/MMORPGs and mutliplayer games.

Aside from that, Turn 10 gets my vote for racing games because of the Forza franchise, Capcom for action games thanks to the Devil May Cry games and a few other nice titles. Capcom also gets my vote for beat 'em up games, as the Street Fighter series is my favourite in that genre.

That basically covers most genres I'm interested in, but I'd like to mention Super Giant Games as my favourite indy developer.

1.PD for their dedication, and for making excellent games.
2.T10 for constant new content and fun games.
3.DICE for pushing the boundaries when it comes to FPSs.

Racing PD
Flight sims Gaijin entertainment
Overall Gaijin entertainment as their customer service is outstanding and they will do all they can to make anything they produce great. This is evident with Il2 Birds of prey where they paid to produce a patch when its usually the publisher that does as the publisher gets most of royalties (505 still didnt release it on xbox 👎👎) And Anton Yudintsev (CEO) is a nice guy and makes sure we are happy with his products. If I wanted a game made this would be the company I would give the job to.

Bethesda and Dice for me. I'm not all that loyal but they are the only developers who, for me, produced multiple extremely enjoyable games.

Pretty easy question for me - BioWare, Bethesda and Rockstar. Would happily be restricted to only ever playing games from those three companies for the rest of my life.

Racing=Papyrus

online Shooters= Ubisoft

action=naughty dog

sports=2k sports

Blizzard
Rockstar
Valve
Bethesda
Square Enix
THQ

They all are usually pretty consistently good, with the exception of Valve and Blizzard who don't make a bad game period.

EA is not a Dev Company... its a publisher... like Sony.

Everything but EA and Codemasters (who pioneered & own the patent on the 'invisible wall') . I'll accept a game from EA as long as it was one of their 100 underling companies that actually did the deed. However, The NFS Whorehouse must close it's doors for a while, it's for the best.

You don't like codemasters?

In no particular order/category.

PD
CM Studio Liverpool (F12011)
Rockstar
Bethesda

and the most recent edition.

Rocksteady. Makers of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I don't care if they never make another non batman game, as long as they keep pumping out titles like AA and AC.

Racing:
Sega = Initial D Arcade Stage series
Namco = Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune series
Polyphony Digital = Gran Turismo series
Bizarre Creations = Project Gotham Series

RIP Project Gotham Series :guilty:

Fighting:
SNK = King Of Fighters series
Bandai-Namco = Gundam Vs Gundam Series
Hudson Soft = Bloody Roar series

Turn 10
Rockstar
Nintendo(Mario Kart,Zelda stuff like that)

Publishers/Developers I used to admire but now dislike.
EA,Codemasters and Crapcom.

Shame on half of you guys for not mentioning CriterionGames.

EA DICE, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica.

I have a few:

Rockstar - gotta love the GTA series, ready for GTA 5

Bethesda - Fallout series is awesome

Ubisoft - Assassins Creed series, love the unique multiplayer

Codemasters - I'm torn on this one, but I'll put it in the list. If only they could get the bugs/glitches out of their games or at least to a minimum without affecting gameplay too much.

PD - GT5, best looking and playing racer on the consoles

Don't know if this counts(bah, who cares I'm counting it), iRacing. Epic PC sim for the hardcore racer. Love it.👍

Why codemasters?

Because they make good racing genre games without making stupid moves like day 1 DLC (For F1 at least I think) They don't have TOO many problems.

Oh yes, Rockstar are good, but they've told a truckload of lies about features within various GTAs after III, those features mentioned were done so either in a misleading manner, missing from the final game, or were in the game, but were a complete sham or irrelevant.
2 of many examples (before someone asks why I didn't)-
(Vice city) R*: You can shoot from helicopters. Truth: You can do it in ONE mission, & it's on-rails scripted.
(SA) R*: People of the game world park their cars in their driveways. Truth: Random cars randomly park in random driveways, there is no actual connection between any house and any NPC and/or car.

Codemasters are cheap; Polyphony Digital are like a fine wine, and codemasters are a no-brand soft drink. They will forever continue to demonstrate their average game developing skills.
