Favorite late night talk show?

David Letterman, Jay Leno... I'm curious to who know watches these late night talk shows, and which is your favorite to watch?

My vote goes to Conan O'brien - the quirky, low-budget humor is right up my alley at 12:30 AM. The jokes can hit-or-miss, but that's kind of what gives it its weird flavor, so to speak. He seems to also get just as high profile guests as even Leno. So how about you?

I don't think these shows are exclusively American, though I may be wrong.
 
I really don't liek Jay Leno much, I think he's a doofus. Letterman isn't much better, but for some reason he gets goofy and a little crazy sometimes and the show is funny at times. Conan is obviously the host with the most potential, but I rarely tune in because it's on too late. Guess I'll just have to wait until he moves into the earlier Tonight Show!!

Whatever happened to Craig Kilborne?
 
Conan is still the King. 👍 He used to be even funnier, but he's still better than anyone else IMO.

I think Leno's my second favorite. You younger guys probably don't remember this, :sly: but Letterman used to be an amazing host, when he was hosting the "Late night". He was still great on CBS for few years, but definitely nowhere near as good as he used to be. Conan might be good now, but I suspect he probably won't be half as good by the time he'll get to host the "Tonight Show".

I think he got axed. He wasn't very good.......... Last time I saw him was in that movie, "Old School". :lol:
 
Letterman and Conan are all that I watch. I preferred Johnny Carson to 'em both, but he's been gone from tv for 15 years, and life for one year. He was the best.
 
The Daily Show and Colbert Report (though not really talkshows) are a much better way to spend the 11PM hour :)

Conan's the man, though 👍

Agreed. I'm pretty excited that Jon Stewart will be hosting the Oscars. And Colbert is just hilarious; his show turned into an hour on prime time with the same calibre guests as Letterman or Leno would blow both The Late SHow and The Tonight Show right out of the water.

Don't care for Craig Ferguson.

Conan's best; Leno is so so, but Letterman, Letterman is vastly overrated. He's about the same calibre as SNL. Yes, that bad.

I also like Jay, but perhaps it's only envy of his car collection. :p I barely watch Letterman.

I agree that the Daily Show / Colbert Report are far more entertaining, but that's more of a comedy show than a talk show to me.

Risen? Oh, I shudder to think that I could have people noticing my level of participation, let alone the possibility of a fan club. If I do have the latter, never would Jim Jones be seen as so brilliant. A club like that must be stopped.

I like letterman better than Leno, but Leno has the car thing going for him...

I don't usually care for him, but I think it was last night, he was funny as hell. He was just having an conversation with this actress I didn't recognize, but it was as good as any comedy skits. 👍
