So which game had your favorite menu system.
Def GT1 and 2 for me, with those world maps making the game seem huge. And the music on the GT2 simulation main menu made the game seem huge as well.
I hope those world maps will be back in GT6.

Gran Turismo 3's menus were probably the greatest with the quick links to places. For example, GT3 was the first with a tuning shop that was separate from all dealerships. In the other GTs, if you had an Aston Martin, you had to go to the Aston Martin tuning shop. If you had a Subaru, off to getting to their tuning shop by starting from the main map and clicking on at least 3 icons just to get to the right tuning shop. But it takes only one click when you start from the main map again to get to the tuning shop.

In the Racing Hall, you have to click on either the Beginner, Advanced, Professional, Rally, or Endurance sub-halls, and it gives you over 30 different race events for most of the halls. Then just click on the event you choose and choose which separate race or choose the "run the championship" if there is one. But, in some of the other games, there was clicking to get to the race.

Gran Turismo 3 has the most compact menu system than any of the other GT titles, in my opinion.

GT1/2 for sure. Quick links to the important places, quick moving about, and most importantly...

fantastic music! :D

gt4 menu system the best
sometime i just keep watching the menu its wierd but it like it soo much
i hope they get it back

GT4 for me. Similar to GT2's but better. The new menu system is confusing, although the single tuning shop is a good addition.

I loved the noise you got when you hit the "go race" or other related buttons in GT3. they tried to remake it in GT5 but it just isn't the same.

I like GT4's menu.
It gives a feeling that we are traveling around the world, because it's separating every places based on real-life geographic locations.

Came to the GT franchise with GT3, voted for GT4 simple plus a lot more content, got GT1 in a yard sale a week ago haven't fired it up on the PS3;On the agenda if psn isn't up this weekend

Oh yeah, the sound that plays when you press something in GT3 is awesome.

I will go for GT5's for simplicities sake. It could be laid out better, or more interesting and artistic but its not terrible. Its the fastest A to B menu compared to the past titles. I do kind of remember GT2's menu design, and I did enjoy it then.

GT4 had a great visual map to it. Instead of having to drill down to get somewhere, it was sitting right there. The only thing that could have been better was the grouping of the races. The sorting them by country and level and make was too spread out for me. GT5 does this more efficiently.

I can't pick any particular one. Each game is different due to each game having different needs and/or features built into the game. The world map design of GT4 probably sticks out due to the layout of the map, the cars and courses in approximate location of each other in relation to their respective countries.

GTPSP/GT5Prologue can't really be compared due to the style and size of each game. Both of those games probably have the simplest system to them, nice, clean and easy to navigate, but due to the lack of options and features in each game allows them to be kept this way.

I don't believe any one way is right or wrong, I don't have any more issue with GT5 menus than I did with GT4 or any other game. If the system has to change for the next GT game, then I would say go with something akin to GT4's world map for a classic GT feel, or expand on the GT5Prologue menu system, if that will work for a full GT release. I liked GT5Prologue with the world map/calender/clock on screen with your current car in different locations in the background. Maybe add shortcuts to the R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons for instant navigation.

GT4 was the one I spent the most time with so it became instinctive for me and I knew where everything was without hardly thinking about it.

I voted GT4. I really enjoyed the sense of travelling you got with it. It made it seem more like an adventure that a game. And I liked the shortcuts you had, R1 for home, L1 for current manufacturer or something. And I liked how in the older series your home was a location that had your garage and logbook and stuff in it, instead of what it is now.

As has been mentioned before though, I do like the tuning menu GT5 has more than the GT4 system.

I like GT5:P's presentation, but for a real sequel I'd probably choose GT4. Just real smooth, effortless, and... complete.
