Favourite corners? (also future tracks)

Hey guys,

Hoping this thread attracts a little more interest than my last one :P

Now admittedly there is a lack of tracks on GT5P, but from what there is so far, which corner is your favourite on the tracks we have access to at the moment?

It could be one you almost always nail other drivers on, one that's just a joy to drive, a particularly technical one that's really hard for you to get right and when you do it's awesome, anything.

In GT4 my favourite corner was always the kink right-hander just before the "Indianapolis" left-hander at the back end of the La Sarthe (Le Mans) circuit. In GT5P I find the hairpin left at Fuji (Turn4 I think) very satisfying when I get it absolutely right. Also 130R and the 2 Degners are massively fun and satisfying when I get them right.

One thing I haven't got sorted out is overtaking on the inside at 130R, I just can't seem to get it spot on so that I don't just get re-taken into the chicane. I've seen a number of handy NSX drivers pull this one off on me though, hats off, great job. I'm not quite mad enough to try a Fernando-Alonso-around-the-outside at 130R just yet ;)

Secondly, the little weather display on the GT5P homepage has the forecast at a large number of world famous race tracks like Spa. Are we really getting Spa Francorchamps in GT5? Please let it be...

I miss the corkscrew at Laguna Seca big time as well as the first hairpin.
 
My favourite corners are the Esses and the chicane at Suzuka.

I am able to go through the Esses without braking at a rapid speed in the EVO X Tuned, the chicane I am trying to improve my speed and line through there with every attempt.
 
My favourite is trom GT4's Nürburgring, and it's called Schweden-Kreuz.
But Karousel is also a great corner on the 'ring.
 
My favorite turns would have to be at the Nürburgring between Bergwerk and Karussell. (Kesselchen, Angstkurve, and Klostertal)
In GT5:P my favorite is the high speed right hander coming out of the tunnel on Eiger Nordwand or the 130R at Suzuka.

On a side note, none of that would matter if we get to take Eau Rouge in a Group C car.
 
The downhill section after the Karussell on the Ring. It's not really a corner, but a series of corners: Hohe Acht, Wippermann, Eschbach, and everything in between. It's a hard series, but it's great fun.
 
A little off the Which corner on GT5 topic but Spa Francorchamps from F1 games had the best corners ever. Such a beautiful track too. If they implement that into GT5 that would be awesome. And the last 3 corners on Red Rock valley from GT2 where awesome.

As for GT5: Prologue id say the Esses on Suzuka! Love it.

Degner curve (the 8th corner at Suzuka, the first right after the Dunlop curve) is just fantastic under pressure and on the limit of your car. That's my absolute favourite at the moment..

I was about to post that exact same curve! Cliping the apex while drifting at the limit is fantastic on turn 8! And the following turn (No. 9) is also very fun at the limit.

Spoon and 130R are always very challenging!

Suzuka is a gem of a track! 👍
 
In GT5:P it's probably the left-right after the 2nd straight at the oval road course. Very tricky to get right but very satisfying when you do.

In other GTs, I really liked the first corner in Grand Valley. Probably seems like a boring choice for many but there was just something about it I just loved!
 
From GT5P I like the London left-right kink before the long right hander. My all time favorite has to be Nurburgring's Bergwerk. The right hander that's after the flat out section that's after the bridge.
 
For GT5P it would be the first 3 turns at Eiger forward but really, there's a lot to like about the whole Eiger and Suzuka tracks for me.

In older GT's one of my all time favs is the first up left and down at Midfield Raceway II reverse, putting the cars on stilts while steering left and dropping down. Also that section is superb going the forward way where your approaching very fast down the steep hill and having to brake hard at the sharp left into the tunnel then up the hill and over for the finish.
 
I loved pretty much every corner on El Captain on GT4. Do we know if it is going to be in GT5?
 
^ Aside from the tracks in GT5:P, La Sarthe, and the Nurburgring (which both had playable demos at certain places) PD has not released any information on any other tracks at all except a city course of Madrid.
 
Pretty much every corner on the 'Ring but the section from Brunchen to Shwalbenschwantz is really rewarding to get right.
 
I really love 130R. For the simple fact that not many can take it properly. And in my 111R/Tuned I always get passed on the straight before it and I can usually carry 155mph through it and re-pass before the chicane. I'd love to know what the people are thinking when I do that to them. :)
 
I feel I really like Fuchsrohre+Adenauer Forst section on Nürburgring Nordschleife.
 
On GT5:P, it's turn 1 Daytona Road.... in a high PP car it's a handful and it feels incredible to feel the car squirming and protesting under heavy braking whilst trying to turn into the apex.
 
my favourite corners is schwedenkreuz on the nurburgring. very fast corner and very rewarding when you get it right, i love the way the car is just on that 5% slip angle when you get it perfect and you just about manage so straighted up and jump on the brakes before the next 3rd gear right.
