Today I was doing the Super speed way endurance race, I had been going at this track all week attempting to win my first F1 car. well I got the F1 car totally finally. But anyways onto what I posted this thread in the first place.

I actually fell asleep doing this race.... as most of you probably all know it is extremely boring. 100 laps around a circle isnt fun at all. I am sure I lose quite a few brain cells doing this race, I go completely brain dead 10 laps into it. I only do it because its a easy win, great for getting new cars and money. But anyways today with about 10 laps to go I actually started to fall asleep on the race, with about 3 laps to go I actually fell asleep and somehow completed the race, woke up and noticed I was done with it. :lol: I had kept my finger on the accelerator button the whole time, and was just skimming the walls apparently for three laps.

Anywho, has anything like happened to you guys? do you just get dead tired doing these endurance races? Although this is the reason why they are called endurance races. :D

same thing, only i fell asleep with 20 laps to go, woke up 3 hours later, saved it, turned it off and went back to sleep.

i nod off, but never fall asleep. i turn up my tv loud to prevent falling asleep. its not easy to sleep when an F094/S's engine is squealing around...and don't do monaco(cote de azur) at night. i did ssr11 and my head would fall back, and my eyes would close because it was about 12-1 AM but i managed the win by about 17 laps without falling asleep.

yea i plant my stereos speakers right next to my ears but i still fall asleep. its real annoying tho cuz wen u get tired as ur eye lids just keep forcing themselves shut and it takes longer to open them every time. i hate eyelids.:mad:

Toolfan - there is actually a way that you can win the SS Enduro without falling asleep or losing any brain cells. Here's how, best used with the Escudo:

Thanks to neon_duke and under18carbon for this.

1. Set the right analog stick to be pushed to the left as accelerator, right as brake;
2. Set left analog stick as turn;
3. Lightly place a rubber band around the two sticks, so that the left stick is pushed to the extreme right, and the right stick is pushed to the extreme left.

This will set up your car to ride along the wall for the entire race, and any bumps you may hit, the car will slam right back into the wall.

err no that strategy(no offense, dude) sucks.

my rubber band trick is

1. set accelerator to right stick up, and leave everything else default
2.use 2 rubber bands: 1 to hold the right stick up(i wrap it around the core and the rihgt shoulder buttons), and the other to hold the left stick slightly to the right(not all the way). this way, you drive faster, and still get the advantage of sticking to the wall.

and finally: hang aound for the first 5-10 races, just o be sure that its working good.

ive got about 7 polyphony 001's at the moment... sweet

That's another good one. Thanks for that, I'd forgotten this trick.

But I'll stick to my trick. It's fairly simple and I still win the race.

I did this very enduro and to my surprise I managed to last the entire 100 laps :D. I didn't fall asleep, but I felt downright lazy doing this. I was hoping to get the F1, but got the Tickford Falcon XR8 :mad:

I didn't fall asleep the first time i did it, but the next time i did it i used the rubber band trick. :D

I use the picture in picture on my T.V and have GT3 on the big screen and find a good documentary somewhere and switch the sound so that i have GT on the big screen but in the pip i have the T.V going. Instead of hearing the game I hear the T.V. So I don't usually fall asleep

Did U win ?

Masterblaster, yes I won, its extremely hard to lose the super speed way endurance race, unless you try.

and thank you guys for the rubber band trick, I had a good laugh reading that, I am going to try it myself and see what happens. that is real cool.

I think itsn't so boring. I did it in 49min with Escudo, going to the pit one time. (I hit a Lancer evo and I went straight to the pit). I was hitting the wall all time.
If you listen to some music, itsn't so boring.

won't that make you do donuts? if the car is turning to the extreme while the gas is being floored? wouldn't that mak eyou do nothing but donuts? just wandering...

The car is actually going straight while on auto-drive (before the start buzzer). So when the game gives you the controls, the Escudo swerves to the right, but not a full 90 degrees. It hits the wall at an obtuse angle and, with its 1800 hp, straightens itself out. And throughout the race the power is enough to overcome the drag of the sideways tires.

ahh two laps kills me even though i'm in the escudo...1.20.xxx is long as heck on test course....running one lap on the complex seems shorter to me than on the test course..

The complex is a lot more "engaging" with a variety of turns. The test course gets really boring after the first lap.
