So watch your tongue a little.

Hmmm...

You are in for a big disappointment in the unlikely event you ever get married. I do almost all of the cooking, which is fine because I like it (and am better at it... shhhh). Beyond that it is a fairly equal distribution of labor. We both do dishes. She does all the laundry but that's because I ruined her pants one day. She cleans the house and I do all the other chores, i.e. mow the lawn, pull weeds, clean the pool, clean the garage, and whatever the hell else I have to do every weekend. Basically we both bust our asses every Saturday. But now that she's pregnant I pretty much do everything... for now.

But more importantly it's the things we do for eachother that smooth out life and make it nice. If I get home late she will probably have dinner ready when I arrive. But not because she is required to. It's because she wants to do something nice. It goes both ways.

Save sexism for the bedroom. Ummm... or not. Whatever your into.

Truer words were never spoken, milefile. Thanks for saying everything so eloquently and covering so many good points.

Alex, you and I have butted heads in the past, and I've not been impressed by your reasoning skills. Even if offered in jest (which I seriously doubt), this thread is idiotic. While I wasn't truly bothered by it at first, in rereading it I find myself more and more insulted - and I'm a man! I think my Ignore list just got longer.

no, seriously, i don't see why people make a fuss out of that... we're not in the 1950s, for christ's sake! In fact, in my couple at least, i'm the one doing the chores most of the time. even better, she has a better salary than i do!

Ok I can reason, perhaps I'm alittle sexist, but you must realise I'm trying to to protect the male species from takeover? :teleport:

Also scientific evidence :magnify: show's that women are better at multi tasking hence it makes sense for the women to work in home :home: and the guy's who are better at focusing on one job to work at work? :smilewink

But multi tasking is usefull in many jobs. For example fighter pilots need to multitask, having to monitor several gagues/equiptment at the same time.

I barely do 1 thing at a time let alone 2.

I still think your being a little unfair on women though.

[dumbarse]They can take me over any time, wayhay know what I mean, nudge nudge, wink wink[/dumbarse]

Anyway.

Why do you equate granting equality to women with being taken over by them? Are you that insecure?

That would be great if all men were ditch diggers or assembly line workers. But if that were true, all executives and managers would be female, since any job with responsibility requires multitasking - and the larger the responsibility, the greater the multitasking required.

It's just not a defensible position, Alex, and I suggest for your sake that you think long and hard about it.

mmmm ok well you make some good points about multi-tasking, yet I still get the feeling that many men are getting brainwashed with the equality thing and that one day the ladies will take advantage?

I refuse to be a house husband :home: and if I get a partner who won't do the choars, well that's fine I'll just hire a maid :smilewink

All I'm saying is watch yourselves cause if your male manager/boss/colleague is being replaced by a women it could be you next? :teleport:

By the way dchamham in order to have a debate :argue:, you need to put together a statement and show evidence then come to a conclusion....

If you want to state that I'm a sexist 🤬 that's ok but can you give some reasons so I can respect your opinion?

Alex,
IF you believe the Bible...
Woman was taken from man's side to walk beside him and aid him.
Not from his head to lead him or his foot to be walked on.
Adjust your attitude or marry Amish, otherwise you will not find a woman who will want to put up with your s***.
Women need to be treated with respect and a little awe.
IF, you can give as good as you get, you will be happy with your woman, and she with you.
Truth of the matter is that if both parties in a relationship focus on the happiness of the other party both will end up happy and appreciated.
Take neon-duke for example: In another thread he asked for $60k so he could buy his wife a bimmer convertible and then a matching one for himself. Notice what his first priority was?
I could name others that have the same mindset around here, Rumple Foreskin, was ready to rearrange his whole life to be with the woman he loves...I could go on, but hopefully you see the point I'm trying to make.
If we did this from the start, If we treated women with the respect they are due in the first place, we wouldn't be fighting the "equality wars."
Sometimes the easiest way to end a conflict is to see your "enemy's" point of view.
The "house-wife" role was given to the woman because they tend to be nurturers. I was a "house husband" while I was in school and I'm here to tell you if you think it's easy, and you can sit around and eat bon-bons all day, try it! It's a full time job, without monetary reimbursment.
