Note: I'm not entirely sure about the title as I can't seem to find a class name for this car. I'm also not sure about whether or not to include the serial number or the "Scaglietti Spyder".

The Ferrari 121 LM Scaglietti Spyder is a racing car built by Ferrari to participate in the 1955 Formula 1 Season. It is powered by a 330HP 4.4 Straight 6. The car weighs just 850KG and means it has a top speed of 180MPH. The Ferrari's first big race was at the Mille Miglia, where three 121 LM's were entered alongside a single 118 LM. Their main rival was Sterling Moss's 300SLR which took an early lead, and the pace to of the SLR was too much for the 121 LM's tyres and all 3 cars retired. The 118 LM finished third overall with Moss taking victory. Ferrari then entered the 1955 24 Hours of LeMans race as defending champions, eager to take on the 300SLR. Ferrari's intentions were underlined on test day when Eugenio Castellotti set the fastest time in a 121 LM. The race was completely overshadowed by the worst accident in motorsport history, when one of the SLR's crashed into the grandstand, killing 77 spectators and injuring many more. Mercedes retired from the event and Jaguar won with the D-Type. The 121 LM finished in 3rd. 3 121 LM's were built, 2 of which are still in existence.
