250 Testarossa 1957
One of the most beautiful Le mans racers ever conceived, and one of only twenty-two of its kind, chassis no. 0714 250 Testarossa features a distinctive pontoon-like design by Carrozzeria Scaglietti.
The Ferrari 250 Testarossa is famous for having won ten of the nineteen races in which they were driven between 1958 and 1961.

This particular 250 Testarossa won 4th place when driven by Piero Drogo in the 1000 km Buenos Aires in January of 1958. Drogo drove it one more time, in the Grand Prix of Cuba, before he sold it to American Alan Connell who drove it in nine races and spent most of that time in 1st or 2nd place in class. The 250 Testarossa featured in twelve more races between 1960 and 1963, making it one of the most raced Ferraris of all time.

It was sold at auction in Maranello, home of Carrozzeria Scaglietti and birthplace of the 250 Testarossa, for an impressive sum of $16.4million

This is my dream Ferrari. Lets vote this beauty up in hopes we see another great Le mans classic immortalized within the GT franchise.

Yeah like mentioned above, why not?

Just one little thing, the title of the thread says 1957, while the first photo of the red one is a 1958 model. Sorry just had to point it out.

Now, may I...?

I love the look of this engine! This car is just as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. It has 2953cm³ of displacement, (that's about 246cm³ per cylinder) it produces 300 hp at 7200 rpm and 302 Nm of torque at 6100 rpm. (about 223 ft lbs) and six, that's right, SIX carburators! 4-speed manual transmission.

This is a very interesting car! It's a must for this game!

Thanks to @That_guy100 for the rest of the post! it's important not to spread likes! this one is needed in gt more than every classic!

Yeah, no problem. Sorry, I couldn't find a search function (either that or I'm blind) so I just went ahead and posted it. But it's all better now thanks to the mod.

The reason why it says 1957 is because they merged my topic into his. Mine was of the black, white, and red conceptual model which was indeed 1957.

Agreed this car needs to be in the game and is absolutely beautiful. It would also be nice to have some more of the cars it competed against - for example the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette race car which came 1st in the GT class and 8th overall in the 1960 race. Thread below:

The following clip is a 34 minute (faded) colour film which tells the story of the 1960 Le Mans race and features this Ferrari and many other classic Le Mans race cars. It is narrated by one of the Corvette drivers Dr Dick Thompson "The Flying Dentist"
