There were many attempts to race the 550 Maranello after it launched back in 1996, but none were more successful then the efforts of Prodrive (In conjunction with Care Racing Development). Despite having no official factory support from Ferrari, the Prodrive team managed to run a successful effort that certainly had the feel of a full-fledged works team with them building the cars and Selling them to various teams in different series. The car amassed a very successful career in the five years it was campaigned with 27 wins overall in the US and Europe (including a class win at Le Mans) as well as 4 championships (Two in the FIA GT Championship and Two in the Le Mans Series). This would add a successful Ferrari GT car in the modern era.

Engine: 5.9 Liter Naturally Asperated V12
Horsepower: 600 Hp
Transmission: xTrac 6-Speed Manual
Weight: 1100 KG
Drivetrain: Rear-Wheel Drive

Yes to this and to the original Maranello. 👍

One of my favourite GT1 cars.
A real shame that you don't really see it in any game except for GTR(²).

If I remember correctly this car wasn't sanctioned by Ferrari, so I'm not entirely sure if it can be called a Ferrari.....

It was on Forza 2 and 3 as well, if you get the chance to play them. Pretty good car.

I really really wish Turn10 Studios would release a GT1 car pack for Forza 5, including cars like the Saleen S7, Lister Storm, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Maserati MC12 and others.

Neither was the 330 P4/P5 by Glickenhaus (the road car of course) but likewise, Ferrari allowed it to happen and didn't stop the team.

Not talking about allowing or not, I meant in if it's in the game where would you find this car - Ferrari dealership or Prodrive dealership?
...........Don't think it wil be in Ferrari....

Despite it not being a factory car, pretty sure it would be under Ferrari just as the Doran Ford GT would be under Ford despite Ford giving no factory support on that car.

Come to think of it, this car was in Forza Motorsport 2 and 3 under "Ferrari" so it would be no problem for the same to take place in GT.
