Ferrari is preparing the launch of the super sports car F 430 Challenge Stradale at the Paris Motor Show coming fall. The car is set to rival Porsche’s upcoming GT3 RS, which is equally due for launch this year.

The Stradale is about 100 kg lighter than the standard F 430. While the latter is powered by a 4.3 litre V8 engine producing 490 HP, the light weight Stradale‘s performance is said to rate around 520 HP with the same engine.

The photos are showing a prototype during road testing in Maranello. The pictured test car still has some tape at the front end for disguise. At the rear end clearly visible, the exhaust pipes are located further up in the middle and not on the side like in the F 430.
 
I'm loving the rear...that exhaust is sexy. I'm slowly coming around to the F430. I saw a yellow one in person about a month ago and it was sexy as hell.
 
i think is is the Race series F430. Its the race car where only 20 are built and they are raced in there own race series. i think this because of the exahust pipes. They're heigher because when the car is rear ended the exahust is not damaged. But i'll probably be wrong! Also, the race cars have the same engine but not 520bhp!!! So it already challenges the Lambo Gallardo, but now it should challenge the murchalargo! If it is the CS, the wheels look brillant, and the back is to die for!! can't wait to see it on TG!! whish is back on TV this May!!!!! yay

The F430 Challenge is almost a mass-produced Ferrari.

Race teams buy the cars, and take part in the F430 Challenge. It's not backed by Ferrari, so the prizes come from those who hold the tournaments.

The Challenge Stradale is supposed to look and drive just like the race car. Hence, the Stradale part of it's name.
