tried it out last night after saving up for ages.
what a waste of money.

the views are pretty horrible and i was pretty dissapointed with the cost compared to the power. my fgt rocks and i can usually hit 39.500 lap times on indy

did a few with the f10 and the best i could hit was about 43 or 42.

im going to stick with the fgt on account that its amazing and really quick.

not a rant or anything, love everything about this game. in my opinion the fgt is better. give me a premium model pd haha

  1. "The views" as in "what you see when driving it"? The cockpit view pretty closely mimics what the real drivers see. They practically lay down to drive these things and barely peek above the top of the car.
  2. The power is lower than the FGT because the FGT is based around F1 cars from several years earlier, before the FIA further restricted engine size and power by several hundred horses.
  3. The F2007 and F10 do have an advantage over the FGT in terms of downforce, however.

im aware that the two ferrari's are modeled after real cars and the fgt is make believe like lance bass's straightness.
im just saying i like the fgt alot more to boot around the tracks, im not sure i could stand the f10 on 5 laps of sarthe or nurburgring

I think the Ferraris run the Nordschleife quicker than the FGT thanks to better downforce..

I hate the FGT, sure its faster but it has over 200bhp more than the F1 cars so it would be. The F1 cars handle better when they arent skating across the tracks, which is a problem i had with them.

i only had the chance to run it on indy, so i will have to give it a test run on nurburgring

Haven't driven the FGT yet but I have to say the ferrari formulas have amazing downforce.

I honestly don't see the problem with the Ferrari F1s. They handle like they're on rails even with all driving aids off and are far more enjoyable to drive than the FGT. Sure the FGT has more HP, has a slight acceleration and higher top-end speed advantage, but it's not by much.

what are you going to do with it now?
If you want to trade, then I'm always here:sly:

The F2007 has amazing downforce but the FGT are faster than both Ferrari F1 cars.

While your FGT is just a stupid fictional car which was designed by armchair engineers, the F2007 is a car which has won both the WDC and WCC while the F10 was a great car which took 5 GP victorys last year.

PD only made big mistakes again, like wrong weight for the F2007.
And yes, eventhough I make zero mistakes while using the FGT and able to do 20 laps with soft racing tires at grand valley right now, its like driving a huge truck and not like a race car.

What makes the FGT stupid and what do you mean like driving a truck?

@alonso,
It´s just nice reading your pro-Ferrari-flaming, here. Though in F1 Ferrari´s achievements are greatly respected, only because someone states here that he´s faster with the FGT, you don´t need to patronize your favourite F1 team by all means. Besides it, seeming you´re an Alonso fan, which F1 stable have you liked before Ferrari? Maybe Renault.
Sorry mate, but what you´re stating here is just child´s play..
Where I share your opinion, is that the feeling of driving an F1 comes closest with one of the Ferrari F1´s. Of course in cockpit view..

Yeah they are really no match for the FGT but i really prefer the ferrari ones as they have insane downforce and awesome to drive even if they top a little over 300. Its a real shame u cant use them in a or b spec u would really kill with thoose.

Does anyone else experience massive steering wheel shake at high speed when using the F10? This is with a g25.

It's because it's so low, sometimes the car bottoms out. Try to set it up a little higher.

I love the Ferrari F1's and much prefer them to the FGT

Since getting both the the F2007 and F10, I have not touched the FGT. Sure the FGT is fast, but the F2007 and F10 are more enjoyable to drive around any track. Top speed isn't always the best thing out there.

when i bought it i was thinking the same things, but...go to seasonal events and race the ferrari challenge, you love the car and the race

yes me, only with f10, with f2007 everything is fine
i ve got the force gt wheel

So last night I purchased the F10 while thinking I may have made a mistake after reading some posts here. I went to the first seasonal events and tried it. My god how good this car is to drive!!
All the time while driving I was thinking about the "washing away" that people were mentioning and didn't experience any of it.
So after the 10 lap race I went back in and drove the car like it was a road car, and sure enough it washed out on every corner. By that I mean I would brake a little later while turning in slightly, going to fast for turns etc...
If you brake in a straight line, drive to it's limits around corners I found it to be a pleasurable experience.
And anyone who says the FGT is better than this car is crazy :sly:
