Yep, but never mind, that "war" between Ford and Ferrari was an amazing page in the history of motorsports. In it we had one of the most famous (and I think also the first ever) "formation finish" in endurance racing's history. The 1967 Daytona, when Scuderia Ferrari crossed the Atlantic and also managed to defeat the enemy in his own territory (as Ford had done and would do again).
Was epic, nowadays Ferrari is regarded as the "prima donna" that always gets its way, but back then it was the David against Goliath (Ford).

Well, Ford is american, and many F1 cars use Ford engines
But I know what you mean, you would like an american chassis, not just the engine. Well, feast yourself in Sports Cars, no shortage of american cars there in the GT class. Quite a tradition really and a flattering one, considering people (mostly in Europe) tend to disregard american road cars. But Who has been battling Ferrari and Porsche (now BMW also) ? You know the answer, from the Vipers to the Saleens, to the Vettes, now also the Ford GT cars ... 👍
