I'm a Ferrari enthusiastic and I've been playing to unlock the Green Hell and buy my F430 and for my surprise Kazunori's team did a mistake

Rsrsrsrs

Check out my video on youtube named as "Gran Turismo 5 Ferrari F430 #FAIL"

Follow the link: http://www.youtube.com/?v=fcPTPljF9pk

Kazunori, I hope you fix it on the next update! :-D

I dunno, can't you use the shifter on the center console too? Either way, if this is the least of your worries "fail" might be a bit harsh. "Fail" seems to be more along the lines of, they stuck a Ford logo on the steering wheel or something. There are lots of little errors like this in the game. With that many cars you can't get em all right. The R8 5.2 has the 4.2 V8 under the glass for example.

Have you tried to use the paddle shifters on your wheel to see if the animation changes?

Whoops I forgot to ask if you use a wheel.:O

I just noticed something. I hope the thrustmaster has paddles that do not move with the wheel :grumpy:
The G27's moving paddles are REALLY annoying, so i took them off  I can still use the buttons, too!

Why is it annoying? That's how it is in race cars, and most road cars with paddle shifters.
The whole point of having paddle shifters is so you don't have to take your hand off the wheel, so if they didn't move that would mean you have to move your hand defeating the whole purpose...:banghead:

obvserve the ferrari. Its paddle shifters do NOT move with the wheel.
And there are some people who prefer non-moving paddles to moving paddles. (like me)

I could be wrong but I was sure in prologue, the driver used the paddles and they moved with the wheel.

They are pretty big. I've used a 458's before. Very tall paddles, so you can hit them when you're going into and out of a turn.

They should make it so that you can either have it move with the wheel or stay in place.

They should make it so that when you blink with your right eye the car shifts up and when you blink with your left eye the car shifts down, When you touch your ear it shifts into reverse...

Thats an automatic with a quirky driver.

The only time I find the paddles annoying is when you have to turn the wheel to correct oversteer if you have to turn the wheel a complete rotation sometimes I accidently grab the paddle with my finger and shift up or down while in a power slide... That never ends well :)

Friends!

The main point is:

We are talking about Gran Turismo game and about a legendary F430 automatized gear and I'm a big enthusiast of both.

I'm playing in the right way, it means, with LCD, Home theather and Logitech GT.

Therefore the animation should have use those paddle shifters which was drown. On the prologue version it was correct.

Obviusly it is a simple problem! Off course! But for really enthusiastics it is a FAIL.

Or maybe the driver is trying to change the radio station during the race rsrs

Ps.: for the friends who talked about race with padlles or not take a notice that the really race cars have their padlle shifters fixed at the panel car instead of fixed at the wheel.

Thanks for the comments and now I'm curious to see these other fails wrote above!

That's because race cars have maybe 240 degree's of steering lock to lock and therefore you can always reach the paddles if they don't move with the wheel whereas a road car will have many turns lock to lock so there are times you wouldn't be able to reach the paddles unless they moved with the wheel.

Watch replay and see if he actually uses a shifter.

No it wasn't, the cockpit view in prologue never had the driver hit the paddle shift, on any car. (with the possible exception of the F2007)

Indeed, in Prologue there weren't any paddle animations except for the F2007.
I like the paddle animation, because it's a perfect compromise without a constant too slow animation. Looks like they've used the wrong animation set for the F430, nothing I would really care about, don't want to drive it anyway.

Thats not the only issue. Have you seen that when drivng any paddle shifter Ferrari, the driver takes forever to shift using the paddle (cockpit view) ? It's really poorly done.

For a small simple reason. The game can't predict all the time when u are going to shift. So you press the shift button then it process it. Games can't see the future, yet..

Oh, really!? I'm sorry for the wrong information!!! :ouch:

That's why I've thought that prologue didn't have this problem, then, it even hadn't this kind of animation. Thanks!

I really would want to know how Kazunori team faces these kind of mistakes on the game.

Maybe he gets frustrated or maybe he just smile and don't care to fix it asap?

I really would want to know :-D :sly:

See ya guys!
