I am obsessed with testing 100% stock cars at Suzuka. The only modification I make are the addition of Sport Hard tires to cars that don't come with them from the dealership.
I've tested over 580 different (stock) cars and every single replay is on my youtube channel.
That's 99% of all the cars in the entire game that do not come with adjustable suspensions, transmissions or LSD's.
I will put all my stuff in this thread from now on. Here's what I've done in the past:

All Toyota Celica Suzuka Comparison
All Chevrolet Corvette Suzuka Comparison
All BMW "M" Suzuka Comparison
All Honda/Acura "SiR/Type R" Suzuka Comparison
All Ford/Shelby Mustang Suzuka Comparison
All 13 Mazda Roadster Suzuka Comparison
Suzuki Cappuccino '91 versus '95
Daihatsu Storia CX 2WD versus CX 4WD versus X4
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR '92 versus Subaru WRX STi '94
Today I will bring you my review/comparison of the...
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '09 and SL 65 AMG '04
These two have a lot in common, mostly the transmission in both cars being identical. Let's compare specs and Suzuka lap times.
SLR McLaren - 2:12.996
5.4L
616 hp / 6,500 rpm
576 ft-lb / 3,000 rpm
1,768 kg
576 pp
SL 65 AMG - 2:19.696
6.0L
603 hp / 5,300 rpm
738 ft-lb / 2,500 rpm
2,028 kg
546 pp
So we see a difference of 13 hp, 162 ft-lbs, and 260 kg. Most of the reduced weight of the SLR is due to the carbon body and lack of a retractable roof. The AMG makes up a lot of its time with its incredible 738 ft-lbs which peaks 500 rpm sooner than the SLR's measly 576 ft-lbs.
Now, which is more fun to drive? No contest, it has to be the SLR, built by the magical folks at McLaren.
Top speed at Suzuka in mph:
SLR - 163
AMG - 158
The SLR can run a 2:13 all day long, but it took me an entire half hour to break into the 2:12 range. Wheel users should be able to see 2:12 without too much difficulty, but I would be hard-pressed to believe anybody who says they achieved a 2:11 without some kind of power increase or weight reduction.
The SLR is a hair faster than the Ferrari F430 and a hair slower than the Nissan GT-R Black.
