So I've been having problems with my Thrust Master Ferrari GT Wheel I got for Christmas. It started on my Laptop, when the right paddle started acting funny in rFactor as when I would press it once to up shift, it instead goes up two gears. I at first thought it was just rFactor or me and my injury on my ring finger but when I had the same thing happen with GTR2 and I wasn't using my ring finger, that's when it became clear that it appears to be the wheel. On the PS3, I decided to try setting it up for some racing games. First up: F1 2012. This happened:

Then I tried Grid 2 and before I could even start the game, the exact same thing:

So I then try NASCAR Inside Line, a game which worked perfect with this wheel before my old PS3 RLOD'd, this time no response. I pressed both paddles like I did before (which prompted the wheel settings last time) and nothing happened.

Anyway to fix these issues?

Edit: Just tried configuring it to work with GT Academy the same way I did for GT5, doesn't work.

Try pressing all the buttons while it's doing that, and make sure you're NOT depressing the pedals -- you've got a stuck button or a stuck potentiometer.

Tried, all buttons work but it just kept doing that.

Weirdly though, after I kept going back and forth between switching it with my controller and then exiting and re-entering the game, it now works :odd:

Will see if this persists though and if the same fix can be done with F1 2012. It seems to only do that with those two games. With NTG, it hardly reacts and in GT Academy, it only does it when trying to configure the controls. it'll navigate through the menu just fine, Just goes crazy when I'm trying to assign buttons.

Edit: Ok, so after some experimenting, it appears that by pressing both pedals and the Home button at the same time, it makes the Pedals one button (in this case, the right stick) and it stops with the repetitive up & down thing it does. So I'm thinking that I just do that for the menu, I can select things, then do it again when driving so I can have the pedals working the way I want them to. Seems to be at the moment, the solution for the Codemasters games. Not so sure if maybe this is what I need to do for GT Academy. If it is, then I may have a temporary fix for now.

So tried for NTG, still no response whatsoever.

Tried GT Academy and while it'll scroll through the menu, the game doesn't recognize any input for the wheel, pedals or paddles. Not sure what else to do.

Edit: Now I don't mean to make a high pressure situation, but I would love to get this working with GT Academy before it ends. After seeing the huge rate of improve I had in F1 2012 (from doing 1:42s to 1:35s), I really believe I may be able to do the same on here. Not sure if it'll be top 30, but I would sure like to at least try.
