Ferrari, GTR, etc Driving modes?

I think that GT5 should incorporate the various and assorted knobs in cars like the Evo, BMW's, Merc, Ferrari, and Lambo.

In other words, why can't i set my Ferrari to "Sport" mode rather than Race? Or the little buttons on the Evo for Gravel, Snow, and Tarmac. Or the air-fuel mix on a race car? Or The adaptive Launch Control on the 458, or any Launch control for that matter. All the modes do more than just adjust the TCS, but they play with the Diff, the suspension, throttle response, available power, etc. Im not sure how you would adjust these things in-game (add to the TCS and ASM Menu while driving) but It would be neat I think...

Good Idea, bad idea?
 
All of the settings that the different modes provide can be changed in the tuning menu, except for throttle response and engine power, but those are both set to maximum and theres really no point to making them lower. If the 458 is 580 HP why would you want to set it to 500?
 
On some models the switches only alter traction settings and throttle response which, as said above, can be changed in the menu.
 
I'd much rather desire GT accurately model Nissan's ATTESA or Mitsubishi's AYC systems.
