Ferrari Italia - How to increase maximum km/hr?

Hi all,

When my Italia hits 315 km/hr it goes to 317 and just jumps back to 315 continuously, as if there was more power in it but it refuses to go over 317. Is there a way to tune my engine properly? Where do I find that?

Thanks,

No, it's not. It can reach about 360 - 380 km/h. You need to adjust the transmission. Adjust Max Speed or just go back to Standard.

Where do I go to adjust this speed?

Go to the car settings, or Tune option, there should be a transmission tab. I haven't bought the 458 yet, but you might need to buy a fully adjustable transmission. There should be a small icon on the transmission, and if you click it, you can adjust the max speed.

You're bouncing off the rev limiter. That means you're rev limited, which means you need better gearing.

Should I max my top speed to 460? Or is there a better 'optimal' setting that someone has experienced?

Depends what you're trying to do.

Ideally you set the top speed so that you hit the rev limiter just before slowing down at the end of the longest straight on the track after having your foot flat. Either that, or you hit the top speed of the car, whichever comes first. If the track you're racing at you can reach 460 (and the car actually has the HP to do it) then you should set it at 460.

Just use the Standard Transmission. Until they fix the Fully Customized Transmission, it's completely pointless on the 458 Italia.

Standard Transmission has gearing up to 381 km/h. If you want to keep Fully Customized Transmission, don't set it higher than 380 km/h.

You can do this, or depending on the type of race you might want to actually give it a little bit more than that, to allow for drafting another vehicle. You dont want to be stuck in a situation where you can draft someone up ahead to overtake them, only to hit your limiter early.
