Sergio is a roadster car that looks to the future, extreme, compact, sporty, racy, pure and sensual. An exercise in style that Pininfarina has decided to expressing themselves on the engineering of the Ferrari 458 Spider, which keeps some elements.
An element of innovation is constituted by floats and aerodynamic headrest attached to the roll rather than the body of the seats, becoming almost elements of the exterior more than the interior. In addition to ensuring maximum purity of the lines, this solution also acts as a fairing of the heads in the rear. In front of the door panel, in a small recess of the channel, are housed the two helmets. Made on a specific design of Pininfarina in collaboration with Newmax, helmets of Sergio are personalized with the color of the exterior car.

I think its funny how they gave it a people name, and it sounds like something Jeremy Clarkson would say too, "And this is called, Sergio"

First shown during the 83rd Geneva Motor Show, the Sergio concept is Pininfarina's tribute to Sergio Pininfarina, the former chairman of the Italian design, whom passed away in 2012 after creating amazing cars for over 40 years.

The Sergio concept was developed on a Ferrari 458 Italia chassis and is a two-seat barchetta that was inspired by the Ferrari models from the ’60s and the ’70s. It combines a very simple and clear style, with a front end that features a semi-floating development.

One innovation consists of floats and an aerodynamic headrest attached to the roll cage rather than the body of the seats, becoming almost elements of the exterior more than the interior. In addition to contributing to the lines, this solution also acts as a fairing of the heads in the rear. In front of the door panel, in a small recess of the channel, are housed the two helmets. Made on a specific design of Pininfarina in collaboration with Newmax, helmets of the Sergio are personalized with the color of the exterior car.

Under the hood, the concept keeps the same V8 engine as the Ferrari 458 Spider, but thanks to its more aerodynamic body and weight reduction, the Sergio concept will go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 320 km/h.
