Ferrari for their engineering and history.

Lamborghini for its lunacy.

Both are equally desirable to me.
That about sums it up nicely.

They complement each other, and the rivalry has created dynamics and resulted in even cooler cars. In my dream garage there's at least one of each.

However, if there could be only one, it would Ferrari for me - the history and the impact on the car world is the stuff of legends.

I know this is way off topic but has anyone ever put a lambo motor in a Ferrari car? Or the other way around? I know there's no need but people put viper v10s in mustangs. There's got to be one rich kid in history that wanted a lamrari! Or a ferabo! Wouldn't you?

Well, I really cannot decide among them when it comes to the cars themselves. Possibly the only preference is that I usually like the sound of the Lambo V12 more than the Ferrari V12 :D

Though I absolutely hate Ferrari's corporate management :grumpy:

Really? I think the Ferrari sounds way better! Its got that high pitched scream! Instead of the low angry growl. I've heard plenty of both in real life and I'd say Ferrari has better sound. But each company tunes the exhaust noise so who actually knows ths true sound of either? To be honest I think I'd go with the italia its just so sexy! Its a car I could never get sick of looking at and its a mirror of the performance of a enzo.( around the track) and I don't think there's a lambo I could live with.

Haha lambos go! But yea that's my thought exactly. The only lambo I could imagine buying is the baby lambo.

I like cars more than tractors.
Pagani is the new Lamborghini,
Not in any meaningful way. The only correlation I see is that both were much younger than their competitors when starting out and both do not have significant racing ambitions. In terms of foundation, design, philosophy, ownership characteristics, etc., they have very little in common. Pagani is very much unique in their approach, though with some similarities to the direction of modern Ferrari road car design.

The statement that "Pagani is the new Lamborghini" is refering to the fact that Lamborghini's have become less insane in terms of design, they went from hypercar to slightly aggressive looking sportscar.
Obviously this is very much subjective, so you may not see it this way.

A realistic comparison is that Lamborghini loves to tweak a few things and release it as a new car (look at all the different variations of the Gallardo) and Pagani does the same with the Zonda, which officially ceased production about a millenia ago...except...have you seen the new Zonda 760 RS announced less than a week ago?

Agreed, you could make just about any V12 scream. 9:08 in the video

Though between the Aventador and the Ferrari F12berlinetta, I actually prefer the F12's sound more :sly:

That's highly questionable. I don't see much there and I would consider it inaccurate.

Pagani will continue making "one off" Zondas as long as there remains demand for it.

I see your point, but I don't think such a trivial similarity (many other auto makers do this as well) justifies the claim that "Pagani is the new Lamborghini".

I agree that Zonda is what lambo used to be. (kinda) there cars are loud and fast and pointless except for going incredibly fast. Lambo has tamed there cars over the years to be "more driver friendly". While Zonda is not! The Zonda R is pointless, you can't drive it on the road and most tracks because how loud it is. so why make a 1.6 million dollar car you can't drive? Well cuz they can. They don't care about laws and rules or even the driver for that matter they shoot for mind blowing performance and that's it. I'm sure you've heard the horror stories of the old lambos. Huge blind spots little windows no air no heat no comfort anything. But now lambo has sat nav, radio the works. So yes pagani is like lambo but in the early stages

Sounds plausible but I'm not Mr Pagani so who knows for sure. However I think it'll be a while before a new Zonda isn't one of the coolest cars on the road....or even just one of the coolest cars you read about on the internet as I've never even seen a real one

You just made me sad, I realized I've never seen one either.

Has anyone seen a Zonda?

Yes, l see them all the time.

I play GT5 and watch Top Gear and search the internet.

Except it is....The Zonda over time has become regarded as one of the easiest supercars to drive, esp. when they decided the sequential gearbox became standard on every car.

I wish you'd stop re-iterating Top Gear trivia into your posts. They care about the law & mind blowing performance is far from their goal. It's the craftsmanship of each car that Horacio pays attention to.

The "horror" stories are what give older Lamborghinis their charm for those that can tolerate it beyond the initial encounter. The original C12 wasn't far off from the Diablos in terms of lunacy & creature comforts, but once the Zonda F arrived, Pagani became something of itself. It's why the Huayra was met with such mixed emotions; it's a bit of different approach to what people expect of Pagani.

As for your claim about Lamborghini, they do have Sat Nav & your other standard options available. The Gallardo uses an Audi-sourced navigation, while the Murcielago/Aventador are given a Kenwood.

Look at My PSN HAHA

I'm guessing it's in your sig, which l can't see on the phone.

Oh I've figured out who you are. Hi LG.

First that was supposed to say now lambos not no, and second what trivia am I posting? Well except any information about any car in the last 12 years? And I know they don't care about the laws that's what I said! Why else would you build a car you can't drive? I think you might wanna read my post again before you start commenting.

Maybe you want to quote my post, so you actually read it.

Because "I know they don't care about the laws that's what I said" isn't what I said.

Just about any time from 1990 to the present, I'll take Lamborghini (with an exception for the epic Ferrari F40). If we're thinking of older cars, definitely Ferrari.
